I worked at Appco Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Full Training Program - Sales/Marketing and/or Business Development. Promotional Structure, fun, team work, positive work environment, entry level so no experience required

    Cons

The work hours are long and for many people who are used to a regular 9-5 job it can seem like a lot but at the end of the day if you put in the effort you can make great money plus weekends free

    Advice to Management

Management was really great because they've started off in entry level just like every other employee so they were really able to relate to the new guys which I liked. They are positive and motivational and easy to work with - not like bosses but more like leaders.

I worked at Appco Group full-time

    Pros

The people who work there do their best to make you feel part of the group

    Cons

Long hours, very little pay and if you want to earn more, you have to go door to door and "pitch" people about some cause or another and make them give up their hard-earned money. It's a multi-level marketing scam and I quit after a week and a half because my conscience couldn't handle ripping off people after i realized what im doing,

    Pros

Everyone you work with is very nice and truly like family. Meetings are actually fun. It's somewhat easy to work your way up in the company

    Cons

ENDLESS walking. ENDLESS. Terrible pay. (Far less than minimum wage). Selling something that no one wants. Did I mention the ENDLESS walking? Trust me, there are much better sales jobs out there

    Pros

You're surrounded by great people that are nice, caring and informative. I got really skinny from walking so much, the skinniest summer of my life since high school.

    Cons

It's just a pyramid scheme that makes you walk for hours in scorching heat, frigid cold and in the ugliest shade of green you can think of.
I would approach potential clients doors dripping in sweat and that alone would turn everyone off while the ones at the top of the pyramid got to spend their days doing what they wanted and spending the money we made for them.

    Advice to Management

Be upfront with what you're trying to do before people apply. I understand that selling door to door is not a glamorous job but you have to be more transparent about the actual job. You made me walk for 6.5 hours in business casual attire as my first interview. What the actual fuck??
    Get it together.
Oh, and the motivational meetings in the mornings were REALLY tiring. As if we didn't have to walk all day anyway, but we're forced to stand for almost 2 hours before we do all the walking? I've always hated you for that.

Long Hours REAL Average(60-80 hr a week), male dominated environment, not helpful if not the "STAR", trying to impress parents type of story.

    Pros

    My coworkers were always friendly.

    Cons

I worked at the San Diego location for a few weeks. Working hours were from 7:00am until at least 8:00pm every night. I never received a paycheck, neither had many of my coworkers at the time. They make you dress nicely when you show up to make you feel like you you're a part of something more formal, and then throw you in a charity T-shirt and send you out to talk to people and look like a fool for over eight hours. Also, my manager was extremely creepy and when I went in the field with just him, he started telling me why he likes younger girls like me, and then asked me on a date. I had just met this guy the day before. Like what!? Extremely unprofessional and honestly the worst experience I've ever had any employer. I would take a job at Taco Bell over this, and I have a bachelor's degree in science. A pyramid scheme at its finest.
