Mission / Vision Inspirational Fast paced, never a 'quiet moment!' Strong focus on culture, alignment with values - this is critical to the team
Cons
The pace of change isn't for everyone, this is a scale up early stage business Days can be intense - high pressure however not high stress Hiring can be slow due to exceptionally high standards

Continue to over communicate the mission and the values

You learn on your feet, the culture and team are epic, The office space is great, with free brekafast and a fridge full of beer, the mission is really cool, you have access to amazing brands, the energy and drive of the business is awesome, there is a french Bulldog in the office!

It's a start up so there can be tough times, the professional progression can be slow,

Pros
Values on the wall are lived by everybody, every day - the whole team know the values that matter here, and are focussed on making sure that they don't compromise on these when growing the team. The values are explicit, and this is a great representation of the nature of communication here - everyone is candid and constructive. Everyone commits - you're surrounded by people who are working as hard as you, and... everyone understands the mission - we know what we're trying to build, and our role in achieving that. Great ambition - and equal focus on execution - people here get it done. Ownership of tasks is absolutely key - no hiding if you don't execute.

Pros
It is the best group of people I have ever worked with- the culture really does bring something different to the table. Everyone has the mission in mind and is unafraid to jump into work. There is a real 'togetherness' feel to the office and company. You never feel like you are alone- everyone really has peoples best interest in mind.
Cons
It can be chaotic, but it is a start up at the end of the day. The hard work and long hours are not for some people, for me it is worth it because you can see the company grow and progress. When you work hard it does not go unnoticed.
Advice to Management
Keep hiring great people.

1. The mission behind the company is incredible - pretty much everyone in the business is working together towards a single mission and it's not just about making money (the latter is important as a business but it's certainly not the main thing that gives us purpose on a day-to-day basis) 2. Really hard problems to solve - both socially as our high streets are going through heavy disruption but also technically... with the product we're developing where a we are often the first company in the world to ship certain features in the retail and commercial real estate space. 3. Global business - we already have offices and a working platform in Paris, New York and London and have future plans to expand. Given that high streets around the world are being disrupted its rewarding to be part of a company who's ambition is global in scope and we can see the affects we have every day across the world.

1. Global business - having colleagues geographically separated across multiple time zones can be challenging but we make it work well for a startup. 2. Tough feedback - (this is a bit of a double edged sword) If someone's work is not up to standard the feedback can sometimes be rather tough and direct - some people like this while others don't appreciate it. We all push each other to do our best work and... sometimes, when that falls short of the mark, tough conversations need to be had which can be difficult to be on the receiving end of but it does force everyone to continuously up their game.

Keep re-articulating the mission again and again so everyone always gets why we're here, keep making sure everyone we hire believes in that mission from the outset and keep having a bold ambition that we're all working towards.

Pros
Good location, some nice people, free meals on a Friday.
Cons
The worst place I have ever worked - avoid at all costs. The CEO has absolutely no respect for his employees and is extremely cocky and childish - makes it hell to work there. The way that the company treats people is also disgusting and expect to be treated like dirt. The hours are extremely long and you will get no credit for extra time as that is just the way the company works. No training. No... benefits. No progression. Pay is a lot less compared to other companies. People will gang up on you.

I’ve been here for almost a year now so I feel like I have seen enough to write a review. Honestly, this company is not for everyone. Prior my joining I felt a little bit hesitant about it after reading other reviews here. But I am glad I didn’t listen to it and took the chance. The BEST THING about this company is THE PEOPLE and THE VISION. The vision is amazing, punchy, huge! Everyone in the company believes... in it which creates this crazy environment where people truly want to make something happen and are willing to go an extra mile. Saying that, if you are looking for a great work life balance, 9-5 working hours, friendly environment where everyone will always say you ve done well, this is not the right choice for you and I encourage you to look elsewhere. There is many companies that will suit you better. On the other hand if you want to change the retail world, if you want to help people launch their idea, if you want to learn and you are willing to admit you will make mistakes across the way, you will learn from it and move on, come and apply! The door is open.
