I have been working at Apple full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Working at home is great! Pay is okay, advancement is okay, management tends to be good. Schedule flexibility.

    Cons

Work-life balance should be better for a company that brags about employee happiness. Advancement/career path is terribly planned out for you. Internal interviews are awful.

    Advice to Management

You really need to do something better about internal interviews and advancement! Need better work-life balance, it's okay but could be better.

I have been working at Apple full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Benefits and discounts are fantastic, Some of the people are amazing to work with and se how their work ethic is, it makes you want to improve on yourself

    Cons

Constant harassment from Management if your team stats are low which you have no control over surveys, Metrics are very misleading. They will flag you for going to the bathroom during business hours. Also you will be ridden hard to achieve the goals that superiors think are important. You will be trained, and expected to be like a drone in the system. Expressing an opinion will get you nowhere

    Advice to Management

    Change everything.

    Pros

good people, benefits, discounts, 401k match

    Cons

glass ceiling, not as much upward mobility as it seems, very political

    Advice to Management

Reward employees for doing good work rather than just those who outwardly appear to buy in.

I have been working at Apple full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Smart people, positive and dynamic atmosphere, great benefits. Varied and interesting work. Volunteer work and donations matched by the company.

    Cons

Retail managers are frequently incompetent and/or short-sighted. Training has devolved into a joke. Random scheduling. Poor communication from corporate. The career ladder has become a maze of ambiguity.

    Advice to Management

Promote based on demonstrated skill and reliability, rather than just always choosing the shiny new kid on the block with "potential". Stop redefining the Creative role: use their teaching strengths and deep knowledge rather than assigning them to sell accessories.

I have been working at Apple as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

If you're lucky enough to work at infinite loop or one of the larger campuses, you'll have the benefits of the cafeterias they have. However, as a contractor you have to pay for your meals, its fairly priced. Good resume builder as well.

    Cons

Depending on your project, you'll have varying qualities in management. My manager was overbearing, and needed some real work on her leadership skills. The team might catch a rare glimpse of her maybe twice a week. We also had no communication with our Devs, which creates some issues since we had pretty vague ideas of their expectations.

    Advice to Management

More communication between teams on a project, more work will get done, it will be done the right way the first time, and everybody stays happy.
