I have been working at Apple (More than a year)

    Pros

The position is at home. The company is AMAZING. There are limitless advancement opportunities. You work with some very cool people and the leadership cares about your development. You may get coaching but you never get battered or belittled. The pay is decent and the benefits include, 401(k) match, stock purchase options, product discounts and discounts on services across many different areas, education assistance, child care assistance, paid vacation, sick time and other time off options, health club Reimbursment or bike cost set off. You get 1.5 time for OT and it's pretty much unlimited as long as you don't exceed 12 hours in a day or 59 total in a week.

    Cons

The schedule changes every 90 days and you have to bid for your shifts so you never know what you are going to get. This makes it extremely hard to plan your life to far in advance. You are also pretty much assured to work a Saturday or Sunday.

    Advice to Management

The management consists of a team manager and their area manager. Meetings are held over video and chat. They are supportive of individual development and help you to reach your goal. Management will challenge you if you want to advance but it's always in the spirit of making you better to prepare you for the next role.

I have been working at Apple full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - Benefits are top of the line. No employer I have worked with has been able to match Apple's benefits package.
    - This place is awesome for team building and gaining experience leading up to management.
    - Management truly cares about your development here.
    - Pay is one of the most competitive in the industry.
    - Schedule flexibility
    - Plus, who honestly doesn't like the benefits of working from home?
    - Promotion possibilities are endless
    - I love the culture of working for this company. It is a creativity based company that always look for out of the box solutions for issues.

    Cons

    - You may be working at least one weekend and one major holiday season.
    - You have to be a major people person for this role. There are a lot of positive minded customers, but you will be speaking to some bad apples, no pun intended.

    Advice to Management

Honestly, I don't have much to recommend as improvements to management.

I worked at Apple (Less than a year)

    Pros

Apple offers amazing benefits and pay compared to other jobs for college students. There is also a lot of opportunity for career advancement within the company. The positives definitely outweigh the negatives in this job though.

    Cons

As with every customer service job, you have to deal with some mean people over the phone but that is expected. Also, you have to submit a preferred schedule for work but it is not guaranteed that you get the schedule you desire. Being a college student in this position, getting a good schedule for your class load is of utmost priority. On top of that, I was not a fan of working during weekends but you have to work on Saturday or Sunday for this position.

    Advice to Management

Management is outstanding. They are always there for you when you need them and they will support you if you're having any trouble with certain tasks. I wouldn't change a single thing about the team.
