I have been working at Apple full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

We work with geniuses - in every department, We create innovative products that thrill our customers and create new product categories - who else can say that?

    Cons

ZERO ZERO ZERO work/life balance. Execs have been saying for YEARS that they understand and will make it better. But in actuality, it gets worse every year! It is obviously top management LIP SERVICE because if they meant it, they could fix it tomorrow. They have hundreds of BILLIONS in the bank. If they REALLY cared about employee work/life balance, they could bring aboard the right number of folks to make that issue dissolve. Sick of hearing the lies. Just don't lie about wanting to fix it, when they clearly DON'T care

I worked at Apple full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Strong company culture
Common vision and alliance around priorities
    Good benefits
    Brand recognition

    Cons

Too much beating around the bush
    Beauracracy
    Pay and earning potential

    Advice to Management

Store leadership needs to be tightened up. There are several people that are clearly there for the wrong reasons and there are others that truly are about the brand. It's important to figure out how much you care early on because the culture can be overwhelming for some. At times, working at apple seems removed from reality. There is not enough "real world" training that can be easily applied from a retail customer service position. Certain competencies are important to understand and be aware of but most companies are not concerned with how your peer relationships are or how you manage vision and purpose. They care about results and that's what's missing from a career at Apple retail.

    Advice to Management

Apple should remember that most, if not all, of their employees are also their customers... dedicated customers.

    Pros

You get to work with many brilliant colleagues. The company takes care of employees very well. Tim Cook is a great captain!
