I worked at Apple part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Work from home in your pajamas
    - Flexible hours
    - Great pay for a college student
    - Full-time benefits (medical, dental, and vision insurance plus more)

    Cons

    - Highly dependent on customer reviews : Sometimes you receive the bad reviews that were even meant for you due to call transfers!
    - No big incentives on staying past the one year contract

    Advice to Management

Continue talking and meeting with your College Advisors; take feedback on the improvements that they would like to see within the program as this will increase the retainment rate per year. Otherwise, good job.

I have been working at Apple part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Working for Apple Retail is a life changing experience. You will be surrounded by a great team and will have a great time interacting with most of the customers.

    Cons

At times I do wish people on retail level had a little bit more decision making power.

    Advice to Management

    Keep on rocking!

    I worked at Apple full-time

    Pros

Good insurance policy, average working conditions.

    Cons

Unattainable metrics, company clearly trying to get the most for the least with its employees.

I have been working at Apple full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good comp, good problems, work on the best.

    Cons

    - The company grew too fast over the past 10 years. Lots of new faces brought lots of new management styles. There's high variability in your working experience between teams, departments, and divisions.
    - There are hot teams, and there are not hot teams. You'll know pretty clearly based on how many miles your desk is away from the main campus.

    Advice to Management

Increase manager & engineer training. Give engineers who have long since hit the promotion ceiling at ICT4 more opportunities for self development.

I worked at Apple part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Apple is a great company to work for. I love assisting customers with new devices and resolving problems with the device. It’s most convenient to schedule an appointment if you’re going in store. While in the store it can be very busy, especially during the holiday season and when Apple has released a new device.

    Cons

The store is constantly busy. It’s sometimes difficult to be able to assist customers with devices that have software issues.

    Advice to Management

    Great products and great service

    Pros

Probably the best retail job one can ever get. Even as a part timer, there are loads of benefits (401k, stock options, medical reimbursement, educational assistance, health/fitness reimbursements

    Cons

management plays favorites and it's hard to move up in title

I worked at Apple full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great benefits, smart colleagues, excellent office space, decent perks and discounts

    Cons

Slightly lesser pay than other companies, slow advancement in design career, not so great middle management, siloed teams

    Advice to Management

Some middle managers are not fit to be managers. They don't help guide the team, and they don't manage the team. The only time they "manage" or guide people are when there is a problem or during the hourly one-on-ones. I am not saying they need to micro manage, but there is a fine balance between looking out for the best of the team they manage and micro managing.

I have been working at Apple part-time

    Pros

The benefits are ridiculously good. Amazing stock program, flexible scheduling, 401k and health benefits...

    Cons

It's still retail so working weekends is pretty much mandatory.

    Pros

Rsu refresh is good if you have a good performance. Have extra holiday during thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. Different groups have diff Beni fits.

    Cons

No free lunch. Perf review only once per year in some groups. Initial PTO has only 12 days. Too few positions for new grads.

    Advice to Management

    No work during weekend.
