    Pros

Great for personal development and even networking.

    Cons

They make sure to hire the most talented people so if moving up is the goal, know that it's challenging yet possible.

I worked at Apple full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Get to work with some of the smartest and most devoted people in the world in a great environment with good salary, perks and high morale.

    Cons

People have to work hard; there is not much latitude for error and senior management can sometimes be very tough.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing great things, but don't forget to think about the store professionals who get paid a lot less than Cupertino staff!

I have been working at Apple full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good food? Workout Gym? Benefits are above par when compared to the rest of the world suffering from horrible benefits.

    Cons

Apple speaks about reinforcing and representing this facade of an amazing culture, but in actuality the culture is horrible. I have never seen more unhealthy egos together in my life, and I have yet to be impressed with a single person yet. It's a micromanagement nightmare for anyone with any true passion and vision of doing great things. The amount of inflated and fake reviews on here written by people literally hired to just post reviews is astonishing. I don't know what the company is like in California, but in Austin, TX it is horrible. Literally it looks like a bad episode of the Walking Dead. You don't see anyone smiling, and no one is happy to be there. It's a campus comprising of mostly contract workers who are underpaid, overworked, and treated like trash. I would absolutely not recommend to accept any job here in Austin, TX.

    Advice to Management

None of the management in Austin, TX has any vision. You are all whipping posts, and you carry the process down to the workers in-house. It's sad. I have no advice, and am happy to just move on to a much better company. You are all suffering from short man syndrome.

I worked at Apple full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Apple shares corporate benefits generously with its retail employees. I enjoyed great dental and health coverage as well as stock options. The workplace is safe, diverse, and LGBT friendly.

    Cons

Apple retail suffers from the same problems as any retail business. The hours are chaotic, space is limited, and sick leave is viewed with suspicion. What makes these issues especially problematic at Apple is the culture of exceptionalism. Employees are constantly told that Apple is the greatest employer and how lucky we are to be part of it.
There are some cringe-worthy, cultish habits like employees carrying the company credo in their wallets and constant clapping. I found these things odd but harmless.

    Advice to Management

Managers often fall back on "Apple speak". Using terms like "repairing relationships", "creating owners", and "living by the credo" are great when talking to groups, but when talking to individual employees it can feel inhuman and alienating.

    - Some management can be resistant against change, almost too by the book.
    - Ask you to do things outside of your job scope sometimes.
