-Leadership can be absent to day to day operations

I have been working at Apple part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Well-known and respected brand
    Decent benefits and pay
    Cool, fun coworkers
    Flexible schedule
Enthusiasm of fellow coworkers is contagious when you're having a bad day. They are there for you more than any manager

    Cons

    Hours are not consistent
    Political personality contest
    Favouritism
    Lack of growth and opportunities
    Very busy and fast-paced

Management thinks part time employees are inept - pretends to care about employees but actually couldn't care less. It's all a political game. If you're into that, then you'll do great. Otherwise, being genuine and working hard will get you nowhere in Apple. Regardless of the compliments and positive feedback I received from customers, I was never recognized by management.

    Advice to Management

Promote people who deserve it rather than people that just play the game and suck up.

    - Benefits
    - Always looking forward
    - Co-workers who care

    Cons

    - Unaware of the true nature of "transparency"
    - Unaccepting of challenges made by employees
    - Management

    Advice to Management

The most infuriating thing is the fact that every manager acts and reacts as if their employees do not converse with each other. We are aware of the ongoings in and out of store. We are aware of the calls to HR and how little you do about them. We are aware that you are secretive about the most trivial things and will manipulate the truth in order to not take onus and responsibility.
