I worked at Apple Vacations full-time

    Pros

Free coffee, nice co-workers, visits from hotel vendors

    Cons

My job was nothing more than a call center although I was told I was a travel sales specialist. I answered calls all day and night from customers who had problems with their bookings. Poor computer software programs made the process long and complicated. Our wait times for support were ridiculously long, and most of the customers' issues needed to be fixed only by support. Bad working hours and schedule. Night time was the worst. The nighttime supervisors were mostly not doing their jobs and therefore, the agents on the floor didn't get support. Everyday, I would come into work around 2:30pm and I would have over 100 calls waiting on my queue. I still had to work 2:30 -- 10:00pm. I felt strongly that I should have been able to start my shift earlier to prevent the queue from building up, but that was not allowed. It's a frustrating experience to start your day so behind. I have worked many kinds of jobs, and this was the worst I have ever had. It was lonely and isolating and frustrating not to be able to make customers happy. Never had a weekend off. This would have been ok if you could work a day schedule but their insistence of working 2:30 to 10:00 made a life outside work impossible.

I have been working at Apple Vacations full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

OK benefit package. Good co workers

    Cons

Since merging with Mark Travel micromanagement is the new norm. We are experienced in what we do but its all about doing things their way or the highway even if it is inefficient and 10 years behind what we had been doing.

I worked at Apple Vacations full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Discounted travel (if hotels accept you), some free lunch, a possibility of overtime

    Cons

Mandatory overtime for most of the year, lack of communication between middle and upper management, if something goes wrong- you will be blamed. The company works on outdated software, a lot of your time will be wasted figuring stuff out and correcting mistakes. Lits of sentiments and playing favorites.
