        Pros

It's very nice to be able to work from home; not having to leave home for work and better diet. At first it's very relaxing. There's descent opportunity for advancement.

        Cons

After 6 months of working at home, you get stir crazy. With little to distract from your daily routine.. It's very difficult to stay fully engaged. Also, having very little options for shift bids is very restrictive.

Great benefits and great employee resources

            Cons

Work from home should be an option for teams that can do their role from home; specifically the retail business teams.

              Pros

Pros of this job included great pay, great benefits and awesome discounts! If you are great with troubleshooting and technical support, and would like to work from home...this would be the perfect fit for you! You're provided with a work iMac and iPod, and have your own email and messaging system to keep in contact with your team manager and colleagues. Regular team and one-on-one meetings via Blackboard.

              Cons

I personally felt that the training was a bit short, and didn't help me too much in the long run. I found it hard to have a good work/life balance as I worked from home and an overnight shift at that. Our training class was separated within 3 months of employment. Most of us went to new teams with terrible managers. My first manager was absolutely amazing, but the second was less than helpful. We went from taking 2 chats (which we barely got 1 to start with) to taking 3 simultaneous chats back-to-back. I was too stressed out and did not feel confident enough in my troubleshooting and technical support skills to stay with the company, so I eventually resigned. It's a great job, but I honestly just think it wasn't for me.

                Pros

Benefits are amazing and there are lots of opportunity to move around or up. On site buildings are amazing but there is also an opportunity to work from home!

                Cons

Attendance policy is very strict. Pay scale could co inside with cost of living or increases and bonuses could be better.

                  Pros

Great benefits, discounts, free or included services, wonderful co workers, also great holiday pays. Also in senior support you have tools that can help the customer and you have the ability to make that choice on the spot I stead of having to get approval. - programs that are provided help you learn new skills - new mentoring program gives advisors who work from home to interact with others through apple beside their own teammates - visual documents that allow you to navigate some of our newest devices, and os’s - the health benefits really did cover a lot more than expected - some support when it came to disability short or long term were very good. - getting accommodations took a bit but were able to be honored up until recently for myself. - discounts on apple products (new and old) - set schedules for 6 months at a time - pay differential for shifts that start after 1pm CST - sick and vacation time was pretty good. Got better as you become more senior in the company. - you get swag and there are employee enrichment opportunities every week. - thanksgiving and around Christmas have some of the best pays throughout the year. - encouraged mentoring others The reason for my ranking is because of current status that I experienced before leaving Apple. When I first started in 2014 it was wild and crazy but we worked together to reach out and help. Over the years it has become less and less of an encouragement from the management side. Sure there were meetings and people seemed nice. But the reality of being able to reach out to one of those higher managers was frowned upon. When issues have been spoken about with treatment it fell on deaf ears. At some point you become disheartened because you know your voice doesn’t matter. It is this way or the highway. Because of that feeling you don’t feel any input provided will not be taken seriously. - the toxic environment has also driving away great management as well due to the lack of consideration for their input on current policies.

                  Cons

Like any place or big company. Management can make or break someone’s career. - Adding more responsibilities without any sort of pay raise - RSU stocks instead of a bonus. Long time for the RSU stocks to vest - poor training when it came to launching new products/software - lack of support in movement or growth - provided org wide development time but not able to schedule it or use it at all - reaching out to other sides of apple is difficult to learn about different roles throughout apple.

                    Pros

The work is exciting and fun. I have learnt a lot while working here.

                    Cons

Promotion is very rare, salary is low and benefits are ok but competitors offer much better. No christmas parties, or any parties. No free food (not even free fruit!!). When we have a team day out, individuals have to pay and not the company. Working from home is not a standard and needs to be requested. Management feel like they are doing you a huge favour if you do get to work from home. not sure its a great place for working mums as part time is almost impossible in the IT department.

                      Pros

You get to work from home and the people you meet in your job are amazing. You also get good benefits. Apple rewards you for doing good by sending you small gifts and allowing you to move up when you graduate.

                      Cons

Like any call center, it is a call center job. You speak to crabby people all day and as a college advisor, you're stuck in the same spot until you graduate (which can be terrible if you have 2 years to go).

                        Pros

Working from home is great and the people you work with and meet are the best. Benefits start day one and the benefits are very good.

                        Cons

Career progression is difficult beyond entry level positions. Positions beyond entry level technical or customer service positions are very attractive and offer great experience. Bid shifts are required for all aha(at home advisor) positions which means you have your schedule changing frequently if you are not able to win your desired shift bid.

                      1. What to do if you cannot provide your manager or other leaders as references from your previous workplace? 2. How to answer interview Qs about my previous workplace or manager? For the context! I worked for a workplace for 8-9 months. But, there were ethical issues from the side of leaders including my manager, and senior employees that made me quit my job. Also, many leaders & senior coworkers were either fired or quit their jobs a few months after I did. Thanks in advance!

Has anyone ever been called back for a job they were first rejected from only to be rejected again? Does this happen often?

During the first screening interview I have been asked at times about my job search status and if I am talking to others. While this is probably a question they have no right to ask, I wonder if there is a right or wrong answer. If I say I am interviewing with 2-3 companies, they may feel it is not worth the extra effort to continue the discussion. If I say I am not actively interviewing, it may be a negative sign. Any idea about where they are coming from? (WFH & free agent for a while)
