I have been working at Apple full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Good work life balance depending on your team - Could be interesting work but your project also depends on how your manager thinks personally of you. If you don't get on well, you might end up with projects no one wants to work on. - Great benefits from the company including good food, good 401k, health insurance etc. - Supportive environment for personal development.

    Cons

    - Recruiters are usually bad and unprofessional. They usually try to lowball you (as typical) but if you try to negotiate, they become aggressive and even rude. - Very unbalanced compensation even within the same teams. Study up your numbers well before signing up. - Secrecy - Very non-uniform groups within the company. There are big differences between different organizations so you might have totally different experience...

I have been working at Apple part-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Coworkers are always fantastic, everyone is very collaborative, there's a very good atmosphere amongst your peers.

    Cons

Management claims to care about work-life balance, but then schedules you for early morning and late night meetings on weekend days even if it's outside of your availability. There's also zero room for growth in the company unless you're willing to sell your soul out to metrics and jump through every flaming hoop that your connection manager demands of you. Over the past several years, the Genius Bar has been progressively...

    Advice to Management

You are the reason why people quit this company to take their professional pursuits elsewhere. Ordering pizza every few months for the team doesn't make up for the degrading experience of having to perform the role of a salesman when you applied to do tech support and help people.

    Pros

Amazing benefits and pay, lots of time off, good people to work with.

    Cons

Work/life balance can be on the downside especially during the holidays

    Advice to Management

Surveys and stats are wonderful but don’t change how they work every couple of months.

I have been working at Apple full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - High paying for retail work - Decent training - Diverse staff - Stable company

    Cons

    - Extremely limited advancement opportunities - Very poor raises - Horrific work / life balance - Highly political ladder climbing structure - In the retail environment, we get treated like garbage by our customers on a daily basis. The higher-than-normal retail salary isn't worth it for how poorly we are treated (by customers).

    Advice to Management

Stop making people play games to move ahead. Promote hard workers - not 'yes' people and butt-kissers. Value your retail team and pay them better (Reserve Stock Units are not what we want for raises). Follow through on the values you talk about all the time (work / life balance, advancement opportunities).

I have been working at Apple full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

It's Apple, it's a big name and people respect it. Most people work hard because they love Apple products. You'll likely find a team that cares about the work they do. Few people are lazy. Work / Life balance, some teams definitely care about this and give you flexible hours.

    Cons

Apple uses their own systems and they are bad. This company is extremely top heavy, it's like things are being passed down from the Gods. And the Gods don't have any idea what matters anymore. Little impact on the product because the company is so top heavy. The company is so secretive, people just aren't friendly. There's a huge division between those who work at Apple Park and those who don't. You're automatically...
