    Was amazing but not anymore

    Pros

My recruiter was very attentive and got me hired right away for a great company and got me more pay! I was singing there praises to everyone!

    Cons

For some reason my recruiter will not call or email back. I know someone else also trying to find work and they can't get anything out of anyone there. Benefits they offer contractors are HORRIBLE!! One plan and the deductible is over $6k! Who will actually be able to pay for a dr visit with that? Ridiculous. And it's almost $300 a month for benefits I don't use.

Most Professional Staffing Company in the Puget Sound Area

    Dec 18, 2017 - Anonymous Freelancer

    Business Outlook

    Pros

People conducting interviews for Apple One (Tukwila) consistently demonstrate that they have researched what the client company wants before the interview takes place. They have solid information right there in the room to help you determine if you are the right fit. It appears that this office's own professionalism attracts a particular kind of client company: -Their client employers treat their employees and contract workers better than those at any other staffing agency in the area. -Their client employers appear to be healthier and busier than those at other staffing agencies. Every person I have spoken with at Apple One (Tukwila) was either able to help immediately or followed through on a promise to call back with answers. They have positions both for low and high skill levels.

    Cons

As good as they are, it would be nice if they had even more higher-skill openings.

Great Blend of Recruiting and Sales

Jul 6, 2017 - Staffing Consultant in Clearwater, FL

    CEO Approval
    Business Outlook

    Pros

As the title says, if you are looking for an opportunity to recruit as well as business development/sales/account management, then AppleOne is a great place to work. The blended full-desk model has reasonable metrics. There are no phone call metrics, which is great, you are empowered to work at your own pace to get the necessary results. The company will train someone with lowel levels of experience and support you with any on going training you desire. The Regional Vice-President is from the area so he is there for advice at any time. There is a lot of business out there in the Tampa/Clearwater/St. Pete market and the area keeps growing, so someone with the right attitute and ambition can do very well here. Pay is decent, PTO benefits were as well. The company has a great message that is easy to believe in. Yearly salary guide books have been top notch.

    Cons

AppleOne is a huge company and they own and use a number of things that are required for use in the offices, like their applicant tracking system and a background check company. The background check turnaround time can be frustrating. The ATS was in the process of moving to an online model which will help, but it is no where near as good as some of the top of the line ATS systems used in other places. The office culture is very friendly and inviting, but has long struggled to get going and have success. To do well, you really do need to be self-motivated and hungry. Also, while interviewing people in person is a great way to really get to know potential candidates, it can slow down the process and hurt efficiency. The market has a ton of staffing companies out there, seems like new ones pop up every day, so competition is tough and it takes a lot of persistence to get through to hiring managers. Majority of business for AppleOne is clerical types of positions and margins tend to be low and contracts on the shorter end, so it takes a lot of work to build up a margin/spread unless you are gifted or find a big account. Was disappointed by the cost/coverage of insurance for such a large company.

    Great company - managed poorly

    Pros

The owners built a company with strong core values the most of the company adhered too.

    Cons

The region is run by a corrupt person whose modus operandi was to pit team mates against one another.

A family business where you can find a place to grow.

    Apr 17, 2014 - Anonymous Employee

    Pros

It is a large organization with deep resources while remaining very entrepreneurial in spirit. There aren't a lot of levels of approval or hierarchy and good ideas and effort are appreciated. It is family run, and management really does care deeply about its employees. If you are on the sales side growth is there for the taking and the company provides fantastic training and development resources

    Cons

The flat hierarchy and long corporate tenure means that in non-sales roles there aren't as many levels to be promoted into. The company still supports growth, but it's a little less defined than it is on the sales side, and you'll want to take a more active role in directing your career path.

    Pros

There is lots of opportunity to make money if you put in the time. Branch and Regional managers are there for you to guide and mentor you. They are a private company so there is more flexibility and you get an opportunity to know the leaders well.

    Cons

You need to be patient to succeed. If you go in saying you want to make alot of maoney fast and will get frustrated. It takes time to learn the business and time to get clients. The sales people (Sr. Account Executives) at the top that make the most money are very good sales people in this industry. They have all been working with Appleone for years and may have been a managers at one point. Like all sales professions they sometime get in the way and find loopholes to keep there clients. Again if you are new you'll need to be patient. Everyone wants more money.

A great company to build a career!

Sep 21, 2016 - Anonymous Employee in Santa Clara, CA

    Pros

AppleOne is a great company to work for. This organization is all about teamwork and working together to achieve results. AppleOne provides a strong foundation for their employees to be successful. Excellent training and support each step of the way. This is a company that values contributions and rewards for achievements and surpassing goals. A career path is offered to all and the company believes in promoting from within.

    Cons

To be successful with AppleOne you must be goal oriented, strive for excellence and enjoy earning the equivalent of your efforts. This is not a con for me as I am goal oriented and money motivated.

    Great Opportunity for Growth

    Pros

I appreciate AppleOne for their commitment to excellence. The mentors I've had and the opportunities for advancement within the company have been exceptional. This is a company that values professionalism, work ethic, drive, integrity and common sense! If you have those things, you will go far with AppleOne.

    Cons

The biggest challenge working with AppleOne is that our clients can't hire everyone we represent (although oftentimes they would like to!). Our passion is to take the challenge on daily to identify and connect great candidates and companies.

The best company to work for!

Jun 12, 2014 - Operations Associate in Cordova, TN

    Pros

AppleOne offers to help any candidate, whether it be finding a position or, if it is a candidate with a background we don't specialize in, finding a resource that could help them move forward with their career search. I love working for this company because they guarantee great opportunities for professional growth and offer full support of promoting.

    Cons

Unfortunately, we can't place everyone and there aren't enough hours in the day to talk to all of the candidates.
