    I worked at Applebee's part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I learned so much in the service industry that I was able to take with me as I finished with school and advanced in my career. Management was always on top of it, making sure that we knew how to read our guests which has done wonders for me in other fields as well.

    Cons

Very corporate and required some long hours.

    Advice to Management

    Thanks!!

    I worked at Applebee's full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great people to work with. Informative and educational in food safety. Organized and straight forward system and training. Easily accessible food/ingredients while on line(equipment).

    Cons

Huge rushes. Uses microwaves for nearly every side. Hectic at times with inexperienced/unorganized servers. Pre-made Sauces shipped to individual "stores" requiring no skill/education from line cooks.

I have been working at Applebee's full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I love working with the people (Staff, and customers). Very good benefits, when doing contests to win prizes, football, baseball, hockey tickets are pretty common for winner's of competitions. The company outings are a lot of fun, as well. Bonus's are usually pretty good if staying on top of the budget.

    Cons

Making it harder to make bonus numbers, and becoming to concerned with the tiny stuff. 2 or 3 $ here or there instead of doing effective research, and new strategies to grow sales. They're more concerned with making everything cheaper to compete which makes the bottom line harder, as well as destroying the value they've been creating.

    Pros

not difficult, simple tasks, able to talk to people frequently, i liked that applebees placed an emphasis on good customer service and wanting to leave a good impression on people. Good job to start at young and then after a year or two turn into a server job

    Cons

short hours, low pay, very little change on a day to day basis, bus tables, the pay is not great and tips completley depend on how much the servers are willing to give you from their tips. If you have a bad server you will rarely get any money or just a couple bucks.

    I worked at Applebee's part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great employees and managers. They really help work with you on your schedule depending on what store you're working at. The managers also really help you out when you need something instead of ignoring or leaving you on your own.

    Cons

A lot of teenagers who don't tip well gets old. Also it gets hard to have someone cover your shift.
