I have been working at Applied Materials full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

On-site cafeteria, free gym membership, colleagues in NPI are very intelligent, competitive atmosphere, but able to maintain that work-life balance.

    Cons

Redundant processes, slow movement depending on who you're dealing with, and sometimes management are more concerned about telling you what to do rather than giving you a task and you deciding how to accomplish it.

    Advice to Management

Take a more active role in developing your subordinates. The required online training is more of a pain than a learning point - allow more in-person leadership development even if those people aren't in a management role.
