I worked at Applied Materials & Engineering (More than a year)

    Pros

A nice group of people working there and easily accessible from the freeway

    Cons

Upper management is always in a quagmire, and old ideas of how things should be

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to your employees, they do not seem happy. Don't make your employees cry

  3. "Run from the Credentials Dept-Houston office!!!"

    Former Employee - Anonymous Employee

    Pros

Holiday, benefits, location, bonus and work from home. Other departments are friendly and there is room to grow if you don't start off in credentialing

    Cons

Specifically the Credentials Dept is poorly managed, extremely micro management, unfriendly mgr, fake team lead who is unqualified and has double standards, high turn over rates, high phone volume which feels like a call center. Over worked and under paid, poor training no play book must take notes then told your doing the work wrong. High turnover rate, no one stays longer than six months. No system in place at all. Just a mess all the way around.

    Advice to Management

Please start from scratch by outsourcing the Credentials to qualified staff, so the work can get caught up to date. Be honest to providers when they call and not give them the run around. Hire new management team. Create a playbook and offer training!

I worked at Applied Materials & Engineering full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The people who work there are nice and good people to work with.

    Cons

The management was horrible and uncommunicative. No support or guidance. The Principal does not have social skills. Employees celebrate and communicate when owner is out of office

    Advice to Management

Realize you are not better than everyone else. Be supportive, listen to employees. Realize you make mistakes as well. Stop being controlling and condescending

I have been working at Applied Materials & Engineering full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Big company with pretty good salary, nice people working together.
World leading technology, good working environment.

    Cons

Not enough flexibility, lot of documentation and paper works to follow.
Salary raise is very slow, so do not join NCGs, the salary is much lower than other people.

    Advice to Management

Take better of the NCGs, they should be treated much better.
