I worked at Applied Medical part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Applied Medical is a great place to work because just about all of the people who work there are willing to help with whatever you need. They are big on developing your professional self rather than developing a certain product or process. There are a lot of young people within the company who really enjoy their work. It is a fast paced and collaborative workplace.

    Cons

    None to be concerned of.

I have been working at Applied Medical full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Applied Medical is a great place to start your career and learn about medical devices and manufacturing. The employees are very friendly and helpful. There isn't pressure to take work home with you. Dress code is casual.

    Cons

Depends on department but most are strict on working hours from 8 am- 5 pm (no early/ late start). Salary is low compared to other companies. Firing rate is fairly high.

I worked at Applied Medical full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Nothing much. I cannot think of any pros. I never had a single moment that I could think that was a great place to work with.

    Cons

Everything going inside the organization. Racism, lack of educated manpower, favoritism, family ring vital for growth, innovation leads to punishment or disciplinary action.

    Advice to Management

    Restructuring the organization.

      Cons

Management never take care complaints. If people complain they will discharge him.

      Advice to Management

Hire the right person to be a manager. Do some background check before you hire a team member.

I have been working at Applied Medical full-time

      Pros

Great place to work. Their training is grueling but some of the best I've encountered in this field. The sales force and their managers really are a team. I've really enjoyed the company culture and the people I've met. Once you put in your two years here you can literally go and get a job anywhere.

      Cons

Sometimes upper management can seem unreasonable. Very single minded. Wages are below industry standard. I have been here for two years and have not received any pay increases. You have to jump through hoops to be promoted. They will work you at the lowest wages for as long as possible. You have your work cut out for you if you are a female in sales here, men seems to move up the ladder much faster.

      I worked at Applied Medical

      Pros

This is a great place to start for a freshly graduate. You will learn a lot in your first year. On top of that, anyone from the manager level and below will work well with you since everyone is around the same age. You will make a lot of friends and learn a lot here.

      Cons

The company does not invest on any individual. Their model is to look for recent grads and pay them dirt cheap to do the job. They don't care if you leave because they know there will be more people waiting in line. Some VPs are clueless and always have that brown stuff on their nose. They will force you to do it their way, which sometimes can be unethical, but if you disagreed with them, they will let you go or transfer...

      Advice to Management

Invest in your engineers, these people are smart and they will make the company better. Stop being cheap. VPs need to get their stuffs together too.

      I worked at Applied Medical

      Pros

Opportunity to do several jobs within company. Great place to start in med devices. Two years tops for staying as a sales rep.

      Cons

Below industry compensation. High salesrep turnover. Having Applied on your resume is not always a good thing. Company is very restrictive on expenses.

      Advice to Management

Sell the company or go public.

      I worked at Applied Medical

      Pros

Nice atmosphere, growth and a great place to learn Spanish.

      Cons

You will last less than one year before you either quit or go out on disability. Terrible management and pay. Your pay scale will remain the same for years.

      Advice to Management

Start all over with new talent and dump the current trash.
