Family feel in a fast paced environment

Nov 15, 2021 - Customer Success Manager in Fremont, CA
    Recommend
    CEO Approval
    Business Outlook

    Pros

I really loved how welcoming and supportive everyone is. I have grown so much since I started—the CTO is very encouraging, supportive, and a fantastic role model. I feel like everyone has my back. I feel comfortable and supported from my managers. I really enjoy working at a place where you can see the impact you’re making. I don’t feel like a pawn or number. I really love it here.

    Cons

It’s a big workload. You need to know how to manage a lot of tasks, set up healthy habits to step away from your computer (walks, stretch break, etc), know when to say ‘no’ to additional work (& be vocal about when you need help)—be efficient with your time and thoughtful about scheduling and you’ll do well. (Also learning ClickUp before would help!)

    Lots of Independence, Little Guidance

    Nov 3, 2021 - Customer Success Manager
    Recommend
    CEO Approval
    Business Outlook

    Pros

    - No micro-managing. Lots of independence within the role and ability to choose and take ownership of projects you'd like to work on. - Learned a ton about the Quality and Risk environments. I am well versed in these areas and have gained a comprehensive understanding of the quality/risk landscapes. - Great coworkers. I feel supported and acknowledged internally for my accomplishments. - Ability to work on impactful projects/implementations with large clients and with important stakeholders from those clients.

    Cons

    - Huge learning curve in the beginning with little formal training. Needed to be able to learn on the fly and pick up new things quickly. - High workload and long working hours (sometimes required to meet with the development team in India late at night) - Little clarity on job description and potential for growth within the position. Often need to wear multiple hats and be willing to do whatever needs to be done for the project at-hand.

Unorganized and needs to revamp their corporate structure

    Aug 13, 2016 - Anonymous Employee

    Business Outlook

    Pros

Most of the people that you will work with will be great and you will become a true office family. Unfortunately the common bond shared with your coworkers will center around the indignation you all share about management.

    Cons

Poor management/corporate structure. The CEO subscribes to the top-bottom management structure which is not conducive for improvements. Direct supervisors are more concerned with taking credit and placing blame rather than being competent at their jobs or building a creative, productive working environment.

A good place for true performers ordinary for others

    Oct 26, 2015 -

    Business Outlook

    Pros

If you are self motivated, willing to take responsibility, having good work ethics, want to make difference through your daily work.. this is the right place for you. You need to love your work to shine. A place where you will always find yourself at steep learning curve. Even before you become an expert you will have to perform. There are Pros hidden behind the Cons and vice versa.

    Cons

This is one man army company. You will have to accept both sides of a coin. Very transparent yet very cumbersome at times. Rules can be defined or redefined or altered at any point if that does not suit the bigger interest. Individual interests are taken care of. But not at the price of bigger values. At the same time if you are a true performer you are always favorite. In spite of the brownian motion of the different directions, which is unique characteristic of this company you will find yourself chasing the right priority or rather the highest priority. In short you this is a place for smart people. You will be given all freedom but no one is given the ultimate decisive power. All these cons finally adds up to a place for great learning.

    Collaborative, Fast-Paced Learning Environment

    Oct 23, 2015 -
    Recommend
    CEO Approval
    Business Outlook

    Pros

ARW provides a great collaborative environment where employees can take on new tasks and engage in projects that they are excited to work on. It is a great place to gain a wide variety of experiences (more so than other jobs with more strictly defined work roles do not provide).

    Cons

Requires a certain level of dedication to work. As an international company, ARW sometimes requires that employees work outside of normal business hours to meet with employees in different time zones. Learning is also fast-paced and employees are expected to keep up.

Fast pace, able to make a difference every day! Supportive culture and open to new ideas. Get to work in different time zones with many different people. Open office spaces.

    Cons

Not a usual 9-5 job, if that is what you were looking for.

    Pros

Great opportunity to be working with so many talented people. Believed and looked up to the senior leadership when hired.

    Cons

Leadership terrible with communications to staff, no real directions constantly changing , inconsistencies with their priorities. No mentorship. Favoritism. Asks for input but turns it around as complaining.
