    I have been working at Applus+ full-time

    Pros

Government contract work, so get over 10 paid holidays a year, in addition to almost 3 weeks paid vacation. Decent benefits packages, but you have to pay for most of them, other than disability.

    Cons

Lots of driving. You have to be okay with driving 40-100 miles a day if you work as an auditor. And sometimes there's pressure to meet quotas. Sometimes understaffed so you're trying to do more than you should, and have to skip lunch (or eat while working). Tempers can flare sometimes at the office due to stressed workers, but usually only in the office 2 hours a day or less. Do not work here if you can't handle a little stress. Sick days eat into your vacation time.

    Advice to Management

Give more raises, at least to keep up with inflation. You'd have less workers quit for feeling undervalued and without career options.

    Pros

Easy job keeps you busy steady hours. Always have a good time with coworkers, very flexible hours,PTO and benefits, paid holidays.

    Cons

Company takes away uniforms in the middle of winter only to give you a t shirt. You also have to work out side with only one or to breaks no matter the weather.

    Advice to Management

    Treat your employees like people

    I have been working at Applus+ full-time

    Pros

At Applus employees are given the opportunity to share ideas and also implement good ones that add overall value to the company. The company puts its employees first and even with the downturn in the market management has tried very hard to Save jobs by taking fair measures to achieve that. The company is implementing great systems even in these challenging times. The company has built a great SSC and upper management is very supportive of the staff and have retained a lot of great talent. Work hard, be objective, be professional and you will have no issues with this company

    Cons

There is no downside as long as you do your job and add value to the company

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good job of trying to look for different ways to sustain our business in this volatile market and most importantly saving key jobs.

I have been working at Applus+ full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Great Paid Holidays
    Company Car
    Easy job at times
Local Staff and Management are friendly

    Cons

    Advancement opportunities are almost nonexistent.
    Lack of communication and transparency.
Company has high expectations but no compensation or opportunities to grow as an individual.
Very demanding job at times, but being underpayed and undervalued makes it difficult to justify working for Applus, especially when one is not being recognized for their hard work.

    Advice to Management

At the moment, excellent employees are leaving Applus.
The company has some potential, but setting high expectations and then not recognizing a job well done can drive away excellent, hardworking, honest employees.
Company should also balance salary with responsibilities and work performance.
If you demand more, then pay more. If a job is well done and there is potential in an employee, then recognize progress. It's a very easy equation. That's the only way you will retain excellent employees and avoid high turnover rates, which will cause more time wasted and a negative atmosphere.
At this day and age, you will only retain employees that are happy and satisfied with their job and salary, especially when they feel they are valuable to the company and are being recognized.

    Pros

There are some great people in the divisional offices.

    Cons

This is a not a healthy work environment. The company has restructured so many times and no one has a clue what is going in. Communication is terrible. Expectations are not clearly lined out. They do not think things through in an organized fashion. Upper management cares only about numbers not quality of work. The Operations division is not held accountable for the errors and mistakes that ultimately lead to billing and processing errors by shared services. Garbage in /garbage out. They do not have a fair grading system, The fear of losing ones job is so bad it has turned good supervisors and employees into bitter people that will lie and blame anyone to save themselves, HR is a joke. They entertain a complaint over the smallest infraction but overlook years of complaints and serious violations. As long as you know someone you are safe from reprimand no matter how much money you cost the company.

    Advice to Management

Wake up! Everyonethat cared is walking out. Hold the right people accountable, Care to know hat it takes to do a job rather than throw out some quota that is unrealistic. Quit kissing up to the whiners that are causing there own problems and would rather point fingers and blame SSC then provide what is needed to do the job.

I worked at Applus+ (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great people excellent team environment to work in. Growing company with a huge upside for career opportunity. Salary was competitive and benefits for average.

    Cons

Company transitioning from a small company to a large corporation so there experiencing some growing paining and are now faced with a lot of tuff personnel decisions. Lot of overlap so with that comes layoffs.

    Advice to Management

Be more transparent with employees, it hard for anyone to focus on the task at hand when your not sure if today will be your last day. Management included.
