    I worked at Apptricity full-time

    Pros

The employees are the best thing at Apptricity. There have been some great people come and go through those doors.

    Cons

The CEO is a text book narcissist. Let me elaborate – those people that actually know him will agree… 1. A narcissist is a conversation hoarder – anyone who has tried to have a conversation with the CEO knows you will never get a word in edgewise once you say “hello, how are you?” 2. A narcissist is a conversation interrupter – once the conversation veers away from what the CEO is interested in talking about (usually himself), he will quickly interrupt you and get it back on track. 3. A narcissist projects a false image – the CEO is constantly name dropping and trying to lift himself up in everyone’s eyes. Trust me, none of us care that you know . Most likely, you don’t know them, just that you may or may not have passed this person in the restroom and now feel like you know the deepest recesses of their lives. 4. A narcissist has a grandiose personality – the CEO thinks WAY MORE of himself than anyone else does. He always has to swoop in and save the situation because no one else has the brains to get it done. 5. A narcissist enjoys spreading and arousing negative emotions. This is probably one of the more telling signs that the CEO is a narcissist. If you disagree with him, he throws a tantrum. If you fail to meet his unrealistic expectations, he throws a tantrum. He is quick to judge, criticize and ridicule people…not only to their face, but behind their backs to anyone that will listen. And, if you ever have the audacity to resign from the company, you need to be prepared to have him bad mouth you to anyone that will listen and even those that won’t. Overall, any positivity of the experience of working at Apptricity is overshadowed by the narcissist personality of the CEO. He inserts himself into the smallest of issues in the company and then proceeds to tell everyone how he is the only one that knows anything about anything.

I worked at Apptricity full-time for more than a year

    Pros

I made some lasting friendships, despite the awful conditions. It is centrally located just off the 114.

    Cons

No one stands up to the owner and other executives. They scream and curse and throw things. They lie and undercut the efforts of employees.

I have been working at Apptricity full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The one or two people who still care about their job, but even that's deteriorating. Covered parking garage, if you don't mind a few dents from people who can't park between the lines.

    Cons

The CEO is a control freak, raging lunatic and acts like a child. We get it, its his company, its his silly little lawsuit that he won that continues to fund the place. It was you that hired us, claiming that we're supposedly experts in our own field but you ignore our advice. No one is safe from his temper tantrums when he's confronted with the truth. Your sales department is a joke, the marketing department is a joke, product development is decades behind the times, product documentation is riddled with in-fighting, the IT department works with outdated equipment and under budget, the managers sell out the employees to save their own skin.

I have been working at Apptricity

    Pros

I would say that the most positive thing is the people who work there. There are many talented, hard working people who are willing to help you out.

    Cons

I have never experienced the morale of a company as low as it is at Apptricity. Even on my first day of employment, I was approached by several employees and informed of the general level of unhappiness. Were they ever correct. Once you are hired on as a sales rep, you are expected to deliver immediately. There is no training offered other than a few pages of marketing collateral printed off of the website. Marketing is supposed to provide some lead generation, however, there is no budget allocated to make this effective, thus, you are relegated to cold calling companies w/ a product that no one knows of and which you've had virtually no training. Although the average sales cycle for its products is 9 months or so, you are on a much shorter leash than that. There is absolutely no reason to ever miss work. If you have a child/children, do not expect any situations (sickness, etc) to be a valid excuse to miss work. You can also expect to be spoken down to in a condescending fashion often times for reasons that are exagerrated or simply untrue. The management of your employment is from a position of control, not of an attempt to provide professional growth. This company has churned through more sales reps in its 11 years than it has customers. This is all fact- utilize this review as you will.
