I worked at Apria Healthcare full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Only on I can think of is that the time goes by quickly. There is no micro management, meaning you can take your break and lunch whenever you want.

    Cons

Backstabbing. Lies. There is no proper training. Systems go down constantly. The ARC team, whom are supposed to help you are constantly rude and talk down to you.

    Advice to Management

Make sure your supervisors are up and moving and involved with their team, and that new trainees receive the proper training in order to be successful.

I worked at Apria Healthcare full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    I received a paycheck regularly

    Cons

Worst place that I've worked in my 15+ year career. No respect for employees, no training, unattainable goals, long hours, no raises, horrible benefits, non team-oriented environment. Same complaints and issues 4 years after I left with no positive changes--clear proof that management doesn't care.

    Advice to Management

I notice that the reviews haven't changed since I left 4 years ago. Same complaints and issues--clearly proves that management doesn't care about making positive changes and improvements to help employees and their customers.

EVERYTHING! NO FOLLOW THROUGH, LET PATIENTS DOWN, THE SUPERVISOR'S SUCK, NO RAISES, THE CHATS SUCK, THE GOOD PPL LEFT

    Advice to Management

Show your employees that you actually care since that's the so called moto, get rid of the supervisor 's that never hold team meetings because they have no clue on how to help their team

    Cons

High volume calls short staffed, verbally abused by the manager when you don't meet daily quotas, was put on the floor after 2days training when your given wrong info from previous trainer your blamed for it. The customers were not treated fairly some were elderly and extremely ill holding for 20 mins or more to schedule mandatory appointments. Supervisor was not nice verbally abusive to staff, poor training and don't care about their customers or staff.

    Advice to Management

Learn to treat employees with respect and dignity, show your staff appreciation, take time to properly train staff company needs to have more care and better service for the customers.

I worked at Apria Healthcare full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I do not believe there are any pros

    Cons

Horrible place to work, I was in the customer service department. Extremely stressful, taking hundreds of calls while being screamed at by my team lead. Very poor training and very little encouragement. Blamed for other employees mistakes when you were covering your own job and theirs.

    Advice to Management

Fire current management and hire people who are equipped emotionally to lead others.

    Pros

    Flexible work schedule
People are enjoyable to work with
The job it's self is fun
    Work from home
Work from home (not many pros had to list one twice)

    Cons

    BEWARE
-This company has the absolute worst reputation in the industry
-No one wants to do business with them due to how horrible customer service is
-They outsourced customer service meaning when you call the company's 1-800 number you reach a foreign country that you and your customers can't understand
-orders for O2 Cpaps bilevels are processed around 30-45 days
-this industry is generally difficult but this company makes it even harder
-NO PAY ON MEDICARE Orders and that's what your day will consist of

I have been working at Apria Healthcare full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

It's a job that will look decent on a resume.

    Cons

-I've been at the company for 3 years. Every decent supervisor has been fired or left. I've also had 6 in 3 years!
-We used to have at least have senior reps who knew their ****, but that seems to have disappeared.
-Supervisors are now there to monitor numbers, not be technical specialist.
-You'll often be placed in a position that causes you to have defend and take responsibility for something you may have had nothing to do with. I apologize hourly to patients, medical professionals, and third party partners for things that I didn't mess up.
-I was a Staff Sergeant prior to this job and am one the most used go to sources for information, but I'm paid like crap with no raise in sight. (I couldn't have a family to raise with this job.)
-There's no continuity. One rep will do things this way, while another does it that way. I often have situations where I'm told to do one thing one and another the next. Everyone is playing it by ear.
-The company is structured terribly, and the patients and nurses know it. I'll receive an email to get something done, make a call, and then get yelled at because that person has spoken to other reps and none of that info is available for me. There's no effective communication, the company runs like it's broken into very separate parts.
-It's a rare day not to have a phone call that ends in a someone talking down to me or worst.
-This job is too stressful for the pay.

    Advice to Management

Get some continuity and real direct supervisors. Also stop treating patients and employees like numbers.
