I worked at Apria Healthcare (More than a year)

    Pros

Was remote position, so zero commute time. Worked with great team. Our manager and director worked hard to pull us together as a team and help us know and appreciate each other.

    Cons

Some of the teambuilding was a bit overboard for my tastes, but still worthwhile.
The main problem was, corporate felt the need to downsize. So much for the 'perm' position.

    Pros

Great company to work for. I have been here 17 years thru the good and the bad times. This company has managed to keep itself going thru the monumental industry changes.

    Cons

I do not really have anything negative to say, but if I had to chose something. I would say the health benefits are expensive

I have been working at Apria Healthcare full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

This is a fantastic organization that offers unlimited potential for professional development. I have worked for Apria for over 12 years now and have held 5 different positions each with increasing responsibility. I have personally promoted up quite a few people through the organization as well. I have seen and know of countless others who have put in the work and have been rewarded with increased earnings and higher positions. I left the organization for a year recently, not because things weren't good but actually the opposite, things were good and I thought it was a good time to move to a different sector of the healthcare industry. All I can say is that the grass is not greener and I am so fortunate to find my self back at Apria! I never plan on leaving and plan to finish my career here. This organization has never been anything but good to me! Highly recommend!

    Cons

The only downside to working at Apria is that the Healthcare is industry is extremely demanding and it requires hard work and tremendous internal drive to be successful. But when you think about it, what company or industry doesn't require this?

A place where you can be collaborative and inventive. Plays to my strengths.

    Cons

Deadlines are tough but manageable if you have a good team leader.

    Pros

Great way to get knowledge and experience in the healthcare industry, Overtime is offered freely, and able to balance work and home

    Cons

Pay sucks, no raises,no opportunity to move up in company, training of new employees thoroughly is obsolete. Teamwork basically means covering up for slackers.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees when they discuss issues that are affecting the company. Don't look over an issue that causes us to lose patients and referrals. Pay us our worth!
