    I worked at AptarGroup full-time

    Pros

Aptar is full of very capable professionals in all disciplines. They are truly an industry leader in innovation, customer service and meeting customer needs in the dispensing packaging arena.

    Cons

Recent additions/changes to management since 2014 have caused a change in culture. Aptar used to be a truly outstanding place to work in terms of teamwork, the importance of people, etc. The addition of many people recently from the outside has changed that culture and it no longer is a people first company. Average tenure at the company continues to drop-new people are starting all of the time as tenured employees are leaving. However, they are at least at average in comparison to the rest of the market.

    Advice to Management

Return to this philosophy - "Clients do not come first. Employees come first. If you take care of your employees, they will take care of the clients."-Richard Branson, Virgin Airlines

I have been working at AptarGroup full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good company. High level managers truly want to make a difference. Opportunity to grow is there if you work hard.

    Cons

Facility management resistant to adapt to change. An example of this is facilities interpretation of policies. Policies are written black and white, but when issues come up it’s a matter of interpretation, often deviating from what the policy actually is. Also, every facility has different policies...not One Aptar as they claim.

    Advice to Management

I think the biggest issue are the egos from management. Some directors have been there for 30+ years and extremely narrow minded...we have all ways done it that way is the matto.

I think it’s time for a more progressive management team at the facility level. Get mangers who share the vision of Aptar as the C level executives.

I have been working at AptarGroup full-time

    Pros

Benefits are ok, pay is somewhat good.

    Cons

No room for advancement, matrix organization is a mess. Culture would be great if management followed. Most managers work in different locations from their employees. Lot's of red tape. Morale is shot. Too many seasoned, smart people are gone. There are no real levels of management.

    Advice to Management

Be kind to your employees. Focus on them and the work and less on the reports that do not work.
