Pros
From the vision, to the team members to the benefits to the overall culture, Aptible is a fantastic place to work! Things move quickly and we are always working to achieve results and to build trust on the internet. We are accountable to one another and are constantly working to learn from and improve from past experiences and the feedback we receive from our customers. There is a HEAVY focus on the culture - making sure that things are transparent from the top down and that people are clear on what needs to be done and by when which is important as a fully distributed company. Our leadership says what they mean and means what they say and our People Operations Team is always focused on making sure employees are supported and have what they need to do their jobs, starting with a great benefits and professional development package. It's like our leadership got together and wrote down all of the things to avoid from past work experiences, and make an effort to change those within the Aptible culture. Working here has given me the opportunity to have access to some of the best tools to use daily to get my job done and I truly feel valued and invested in by company. I am empowered to do my job, but from the comfort of my own home or from a co-working space. I couldn't be happier here!
Cons
This is a start up - so you need to be able to wear a lot of hats, operate autonomously and be comfortable with change. That is not necessarily a bad thing, but something to be aware of depending on your overall career goals and work preferences.

Pros
Aptible is leading the charge on what it means to work for a company that truly cares about its employees. You are encouraged to bring your whole self to work. Parents are particularly embraced in this culture. Additionally, the company is highly focused on growing sustainably. It is reassuring to see a company grow quickly but very strategically, and with a lean team. We are trained on giving feedback from the first day so that we have the tools to give it empathetically but also constructively, and it shows in the culture every day.
Cons
There are no real downsides, but an all-remote environment is not for everyone. It's important that you're self-directed and know when to reach out for help (because it will be given graciously!).

Pros
The founders (Chas and Frank) have done an incredible job of defining core values and actually sticking to them as they grow the company. It's clear they deeply consider the impacts of every major decision and seek to understand how changes impacts the company as a whole - both individually and collectively. Aptible is easily the top place I've worked during my career. Every single person I work with is extremely competent, empathetic, and enjoyable to work with. It's clear that leadership and supervisors trust people to get their work done quickly and efficiently without unnecessary pressures or micro-management. 100% remote and committed to it. Collaboration and communication is on-par or above most in-person jobs I've had. I appreciate having an on-boarding budget to invest in a quality headset and WFH setup. Competitive compensation (though don't expect FAANG salaries) and amazing work-life balance. Unlimited vacation where employees are genuinely encouraged to take time off for and keep themselves and their families healthy. Similarly, handling of the COVID-19 outbreak has been exceptional. Employees have repeatedly been encouraged to take time off if needed and make sure they and their families are safe. Job concerns are at the bottom of my list during COVID-19. I know this reads like a job pitch for Aptible, but I can say I'm truly very happy working for Aptible. The few employees that I have seen leave have done so on good terms and generally into a role that a growing startup simply can't offer (e.g. a big title/paycheck at a mega company).
Cons
100% remote can be isolating (though this is more a testament to remote, than Aptible). It's a startup so vertical growth opportunities are directly correlated to the company's growth. Focus on collective buy-in and feedback can lead to long-winded discussions over marginally different outcomes at times (highly dependent on team/discussion participants).

Pros
Fantastic culture, leadership has a strong vision and consistently strives to be proactive > reactive through soliciting feedback, challenging assumptions, etc. Great benefits including working remotely, health/dental/vision, unlimited PTO, 401k (new), travel to company and team meetups, annual budget for personal education, budget for home office setup, the list goes on. This company is really invested in connecting team members despite the distance between us.
Cons
Working remotely can be isolating especially if you are on a smaller "fringe" team but management tries hard to fight this.

Pros
They care about their culture. It goes well beyond just remote first. The sales tech stack and communication stack and processes works. Team is unified in pursuing it's mission of trust on the internet. Open sourcing culture and the mission are not just words.
Cons
again. It's early. Nothing yet.

Pros
Team is fully remote, this is a great place to be if you like to cross collaborate with and learn through working with other teams. Feedback, transparency and psychological safety are highly prioritized here, through regular discussions either 1:1, with managers, or as an entire team. Everyone is very committed.
Cons
It is a very fast paced environment, so there's always the need to be able to learn and adapt quickly.
