I worked at Aramark full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Working in food service you get to try the food and get free food at times. Not that many pros honestly, but managers seemed nice.

    Cons

Honestly the internship wasn't what I thought it was going to be, your basically a fast food worker, well that's how I feel. You may get Management experience, or you might just get stuck doing hourly work! And The whole internship feels so unorganized!! Recruitment didn't give me much insight into the program.

    Advice to Management

Recruiting needs improvement, never can get in touch with them, program unorganized.

    I worked at Aramark full-time

    Pros

Work from home - base salary is pretty good

    Cons

Don't do it!! They will set you up for failure from the beginning! It's the worst job I've ever had and cannot believe I even worked here. The management is horrible - 50% turn over in my first 4 months. You would think they would replace the "coach" at some point but apparently that will never happen. Cannot say enough bad things about this place - terrible job, people, management and pricey product. Also, has the most complicated sales process ever - no training either.

    Advice to Management

Get over yourselves - stop lying to your employees. Streamline your sales process and learn how to effectively use SFDC.

I worked at Aramark full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Opportunity to get out in the field, meet people and control your own schedule. Decent demand for the services AUS provides. Regional trainers are very helpful.

    Cons

You sell a prospect, build trust, get the prospect to buy, and then Operations screws up all of your hard work. No residual or extended commissions. Commissions can be paid on a multiplier, but the criteria to get there is nearly impossible. The company/market centers do all they can to keep your commissions down, so that it minimizes the effect on the P&L. The RSRs are like a gang of criminals and con artists. They constantly steal business from Account Executives, screw up the business Account Executives sold, then swoop in lime "heroes" and line their pockets. Incompetent management. Managers are primarily in place, not because of a proven track record, but because they are willing to suck up and kiss butt. Base salary is a joke.

    Advice to Management

If you don't have the ability to lead, train and motivate your teams... QUIT. As for corporate, try keeping an eye on the people you hire to be Sales Managers. Quit looking for yes men, and hire or promote effective sales people.
