I worked at Aramark part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

You are busy so the time there flies fast. Especially liked it when a concert was there, love listening to live music when I am working! 401 K offered..

    Cons

Working with lazy co-workers can put unnecessary stress on you, but this is true of any business.

    Advice to Management

Management usually addresses any concerns you may be having.

    Pros

The best part about the job is the Pay, Benefits,Vacation ,and being in a Union.

    Cons

Where I'm at, there is No room for growth. You just keep moving Jobs when they are posted..

I have been working at Aramark full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Aramark provides alright benefits, incentives that are sometimes worth the effort and job security. Your daily tasks and expectations are pretty clear so you will almost always know how the day is going to play out.

    Cons

As a creative, it is not a job that challenges you to think outside the box. They seem to be decades behind when it comes to technology and design, though they are very slowly trying to catch up. They have an incentive system that rarely gets used (for management) and they are battling with the concept of "thank you."

I worked at Aramark part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You'll meet a bunch of nice people and get to learn a lot from them. Made some life time friends there as well.

    Cons

Downsides are the hours and management. Depending on where you go you'll have to work random hours based on the events. However if you're doing student dining then there shouldn't be much of an issue. Overall used to be enjoyable working there however once the new boss came in everything started to change.

    Advice to Management

Renovate the building at least, incredibly difficult to manage equipment and operate within the facility with narrow pathing's and such.

I worked at Aramark part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Benefits are great, if full-time
Kept a rotating meal every week, sometimes more
    Safety is a priority
Good variety of environments to work at

    Cons

Part-time does not get much benefits

    Advice to Management

I honestly think you have a good program for employees, my only gripe is the benefits for part-time work. Some people only need to work 20-30 hours a week, but still need health insurance, dental, etc.

I would advise that management seek people that have the same background that supports the Aramark values but also have a outside views and ideals from different experience

    Pros

    Training, Growth. Pay usually solid.

No longer a people oriented company. Cost cutting & forced growth more important than customer service and employee welfare.

    Advice to Management

Get back to caring about your people & spend money to make money.
