I have been working at Aramark full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Decent Work/Life Balance
    Decent/Fair Base Pay
Gas Card/Car allowance - needed for the heavy travel
Company Provided Computer, Phone & iPad for work

    Cons

High Barrier - to - entry for bonus structure
Poor Senior Leadership that winds the whole division very top heavy and requires extra work on lower levels to support their large pay structures
Heavy responsibility placed on DM position for local market area success
Constant Price Increases on Customer Base

    Advice to Management

True customer retention will flow with locked pricing or annual only increases set as standard - customers are very un-trusting when we change their prices every other month - doesn't matter how great (or poor) the service is - the price increases are decimating our business.

My advice: Consider some serious changes to be more customer-friendly in an immediate time frame (less than two years) or sell off the Uniform business to another company - as it stands we'll collapse ramming pricing issues down our customer's throats

I have been working at Aramark full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Benefits, Advancement, Fortune 500 Company

    Cons

Loosing customer base, No longer a entrepreneurial company, Trying to make all business units turnkey.... but they are not.

    Advice to Management

Recognize the individual markets, It is a large diverse country and not all accounts can be operated the same. Listen to your leaders in the field, than rolling down directives to service customers.

    Pros

Environment and coworkers. Overall easy work, was at the Phillies Stadium so that was enjoyable, decent seasonal hours as well.

    Cons

Picking up slack for other workers since not everyone likes to hustle and get things done. Lack of connection from the upper management to the workers.

    Advice to Management

An awareness gap between management positions and workers.

I worked at Aramark part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You'll meet a bunch of nice people and get to learn a lot from them. Made some life time friends there as well.

    Cons

Downsides are the hours and management. Depending on where you go you'll have to work random hours based on the events. However if you're doing student dining then there shouldn't be much of an issue. Overall used to be enjoyable working there however once the new boss came in everything started to change.

    Advice to Management

Renovate the building at least, incredibly difficult to manage equipment and operate within the facility with narrow pathing's and such.

    Pros

I love what I do on a day to day basis. Everyday I get to something completely different, which allows me to grow in different areas of the business.

    Cons

Sometimes the systems are a hassle to use because they don't really work well together.

    Advice to Management

Try and consolidate the different systems that are being used at the locations.

    Pros

One really great thing about Aramark is the ability to grow within the company.
