I have been working at Aramark part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The company has great benefits and the environment is friendly. As an employee there I was pushed to be better everyday.

    Cons

At times the job is hectic. If it's not having the right ingredients in house, then it the chemicals, and on top of all running around to find the ingredients and/or chemical something is always broken: pani press, low boy, one of the stations got shut down for a whole day due to a fire.

    Advice to Management

More organization and better communication. Other than that management does a great job there. They are friendly and approachable. Also they will help you through obstacles on the job.

I worked at Aramark full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Offers decent benefit plan. I enjoyed working with most of my co-workers.

    Cons

Some of the upper management in corporate were pretty condescending with the lower level employees which I thought was pretty unprofessional. Myself and some of my co-workers were constantly having to have our hours corrected as some hours somehow weren't recorded.

    Advice to Management

Treat the lower level employees with more respect and don't micro-manage things of little importance.

I have been working at Aramark full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Understanding about asking time off, great benefits, has a "family atmosphere," great supervisors (lower management)

    Cons

Horrible pay, no opportunities for advancement, middle management doesn't care about you or how you're treated, no sense of accountability towards works who slack off or break policies.

    Advice to Management

No one can live off $10.50 an hour -- just saying!

    Pros

Flexible hours, Management is generally willing to work around needs and scheduling requirements. Fairly easy job.

    Cons

Compensation is on the low side. Promotions and moving up can be difficult. I am frequently required to do a higher position's job, even though I am not paid for it. Hours available are seasonal, in that it is very difficult to get hours during the breaks.
