    Pros

Base pay for new social workers higher than other non-profits, supportive/fun environment, ability to move around programs, dedicated senior staff with many years invested, a great place to gain experience. Recommend to a friend, but be aware of cons section before hire.

    Cons

Pay is low with little room for advancement, paperwork is endless, always work more than salaried for, 7 day 24 hour on call difficult to balance own case load, duties often cross over into case management, very hard to balance all expectations of paperwork, training, production. Many staff come in on weekends to complete paperwork. Very quick burn out rate.

    Advice to Management

On going systemic changes that usually are beyond managements control, budget cuts, and increased expectations are pushing people away.

I worked at Arbor Circle full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Very nice upper managment, and alot of nice co-workers. Their mission is awesome!

    Cons

Building A just doesn't know anything that is going on at \Building C. My co-worker had a clubbed foot couldn't walk the greatest but she was amazing. the other day because this co-worker didn't want to get in to trouble.

    Advice to Management

Get way involved in Bldg's C and dig. There is an extreme issue. I really love Arbor circle but when someone is being treated wrong it makes me cry.

    Doesn't Recommend

    Pros

Friendly co-workers, able to joke around, pay is better than some places starting out.

    Cons

No caps on caseload. People have been overworked due to budget cuts and there is more an emphasis on making the budget than worker's wellbeing.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees and connect more with those doing the clinical work. We have very stressful jobs and that needs to be recognized and accounted for.

I have been working at Arbor Circle part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Flexible hours/days/weekends, great supervision, educaitonal trainings, mileage reimbursement. improvement suggestions welcome.

    Cons

401(K) is okay, accumulating clients/hours takes time, poorhealth coverage, have to use personal car, unpaid documentation time.

    Advice to Management

Would like to hear form upper management more often, but I love working for Arbor Circle. Great work environment. I feel safe to bring up concerns, complaints, suggestions, and compliments.

    Pros

Genuine and personable senior leadership. Dedicated employees who work hard and are passionate about their jobs. Competitive pay and benefits. Small organization allows for more flexibility with employees and more personal treatment. Decent vacation benefit. Good reputation in the community.

    Cons

Retirement package does not provide employer matching funds, health benefits are nothing special (typical of non-profits at this time). In an attempt to leverage funding, lots of new programs constantly popping up, but internal infrastrucure is not suited for that, so lots of logistical problems (office space, equipment sharing, rotating supervisors, etc.). Be prepared to do lots and lots of paperwork.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work.
