Awesome team and miles of opportunity
Jan 11, 2023 - Software EngineerRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
+ The team is top of the line. There are some incredible leaders to learn from, and everyone is really welcoming and helpful + We are building an awesome product, and it's evolving fast. There is so much to learn and do, and lots of space to be an owner + Everyone pitches in on product, and I notice the collaborative spirit every day + Team culture is very important
Cons
- Only thing I can think of is the ambiguity of processes, which is pretty natural at a start-up. That being said, there's a huge emphasis on ownership, and we're all invested to improve each facet of Arc (as a product and a company) in whichever ways we can. I have seen a lot of growth here in such a short time!

Get Ready to Run Fast, Own, and Build
Aug 4, 2022 - Anonymous EmployeeRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
- Arc is the perfect place for highly motivated people who want to have an impact on day one. We are totally building the plane while we are flying it and every day the plane gets better. -We are big on ownership - if you can be the one to solve it - go for it. There is no "stepping on toes" here. -Incredible and experienced Engineering team who build and ship code quickly -Serious passion for fintech and bringing a little bit of Wall Street to Silicon Valley. -Marketing team is fire. -Actually every team is fire :) -The three founders are the perfect mix of curious, passionate, knowledgable and always learning, open to feedback/other perspectives. -There is healthy disagreement. It's ok to speak up. We embrace radical candor.
Cons
-It's startup life - we don't have every process figured out. If you don't do well with ambiguity, startups aren't for you - and that's ok! -We are working on our gender diversity, it's a top priority for us!

Glad I made the switch!
May 12, 2022 - Executive Assistant in San Francisco, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
- No office politics; an org where everyone's voice is heard and your opinion is valued - Ambitious + Supportive + Intelligent team, who are a joy to be around and bring so much to the table. I am legitimately impressed and inspired by every person I work with - Leadership truly cares about how the team is doing. It's the small things ex. checking in on you when you're out sick & respecting your "off-time" - You will learn A LOT in this environment; I'm new to the industry and startup world in general. Made the switch because I was inspired by the people I met that hired me. The energy here is infectious - Though we collaborate often, you're trusted to do your work autonomously and there's no punch-in, punch-out clock.
Cons
- Quick growth results in doing a lot of things on the fly. We're still building out functions and processes (but it means you have a lot of input while these things are being established)

Brilliant team taking over an industry of incumbents asleep at the wheel!
Aug 4, 2022 - Chief Revenue Officer in San Francisco, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Talent is world class: curious, competent, hungry Execution is impressive: dev team cranks out beautiful products faster than anything I’ve ever seen Mission driven: banking is broken, and this team believes in reinventing it Leadership: founders know this space like the back of their hand, and have brought In industry experts to lead alongside them
Cons
Building in a downturn is hard, and being fiscally disciplined means being laser focused on nailing a few things rather than placing bets in a whole lot of places. It’s the right way to build a business, but working through a recession is hard work!

It's going break-neck speed, so that's not for everyone

If you're thinking about applying to Arc DO IT!
Apr 28, 2022 - Marketing Director in San Francisco, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Don is a phenomenal culture and tech leader. Arc has the most transparent and progressive culture I've ever been a part of! Not only are all of the leveling guides and the promotional reviews process public to all employees, so too are the comp bands so you know exactly at what percentile you are being compensated! The organization is extremely focused and organized, we move FAST but there's nothing standing in the way of getting sh*t done, which is awesome. People are smart, humble, hard working and thoughtful; and our investors are super engaged and incredibly helpful across the board with just about everything! It's exciting coming to work every day and feeling inspired by teammates and the leadership. Best of all, the leadership actually makes you feel heard and takes your feedback to heart! Feedback is an integral part of our culture. Feedback helps build trust. It’s how our peers know how we truly feel, so they’re not guessing or fearing the worst. It also builds transparency—by letting them know where they’re at and how they’re performing. At Arc, feedback, like transparency, is core to our identity, it always has been and always will be. If you’re curious, action-oriented and passionate about eliminating bias from venture capital/debt, apply. We'd love for you to come aboard.
Cons
- Things move and happen fast, meaning you learn a-ton! => If you prefer sitting in meetings all day or acting like a know-it-all, this might not be the right fit for you. - Like any startup, people wear multiple hats. =>If you like operating in a silo this might not be the right fit for you. - We take action to eliminate barriers and roadblocks. => If you prefer to ignore problems and pretend they don't exist, this might not be the right fit for you. - We do not tolerate bureaucracy. => If you like red-tape or playing "the game", this might not be the right fit for you. - We're changing the world of capital raising. =>If you don't care about leveling the playing field and eliminating bias from venture capital/debt to give everyone the same shot at bat, this might not be the right fit for you.

A+ team and mission
May 19, 2022 - Anonymous Employee in San Francisco, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The team is one of the best I've seen, which is especially important at a startup where team is everything. People are smart / motivated (the business results speak for themselves) and also incredibly caring.
Cons
Nothing major. It's a fast moving & high growth startup, which comes with the highs and lows that make it fun and meaningful.
