I have been working at Arc'teryx part-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - great brand - meet like-minded people at work

    Cons

    - low pay is very hard to get by on without a second job. Saw a sign for an In and Out fast food place that paid more as a STARTING hourly rate. - don't get paid overtime for OT hours on the clock - hard to have work/life balance with retail hours

    Advice to Management

    - pay your retail employees better, so they can stay at the job (because we want to!) - invest in growing and retaining employees

    Pros

Enthusiasm Laid back environment but strong team and performance atmosphere Engaging management Flexible hours Investment in training Staff have strong outdoor interest, and will invite you on activites outside work, very friendly. People who had stuck it out had made careers by working up the ladder

    Cons

    - I think what they offer is perfectly adequate for a part time position. I had no issues while working there

    Cons

MANAGEMENT HEAVY. We somehow have a 1:1 ratio of leads to sales staff, only one lead is part time. This leads to hours being pulled away from product guides to make up the 40 hours they have in contract with little regard that in the sales job offer that we were offered 15-25 hours a week. Sales weekly times can range from 5 hours to 30 hours. They say they support active lifestyle and personal goals but then are...
