I worked at Arc'teryx full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good people. Good pro deals. Easy/mindless work if that's what you're into

    Cons

Below average health benefits, no room for real growth if you have ambition, archaic systems/lack of tools to do your actual job efficiently, definitely a job where you feel chained to your desk and have to announce when you leave your desk even for a minute, boring/mindless work, a general sense of unhappiness amongst the employees there that have been there for more than 6 months. It seems like everyone walks in excited...

    Advice to Management

Move faster. Too slow at getting things done at times. Recognize that most of your reps are painfully unhappy there and for good reason.

I worked at Arc'teryx full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

None to think of. They didn't miss payroll - so that was good.

    Cons

Nothing but angry customers. People waiting 6 months to repair jackets, that could easily just be replaced for the price charged. Nothing but unnecessary, customer offending policies that hurt the company more than helped.

    Advice to Management

Leave and get replaced. You suck royally. If such obvious failed business policies are not obvious to you, there is no confidence for improvements.

I have been working at Arc'teryx part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Enthusiasm Laid back environment but strong team and performance atmosphere Engaging management Flexible hours Investment in training Staff have strong outdoor interest, and will invite you on activites outside work, very friendly. People who had stuck it out had made careers by working up the ladder

    Cons

    - I think what they offer is perfectly adequate for a part time position. I had no issues while working there

    Advice to Management

    Pros

Great work environment, trusting, can work remotely, can bring dogs into work, a lot of internal training opportunities, focus on yearly objectives

    Cons

Benefits aren't the best currently, mixed priorities so can be hard to get projects pushed through by the decision makers

I worked at Arc'teryx full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Good brand Nice office Good location Good discount Good benefits

    Cons

Management is indecisive and can’t even pick a great candidate when they see one, instead they hire people who are not qualified for the job

    Advice to Management

Don’t mess with people and waste their time. Don’t bring people in for 2 or 3 interviews and then close them out with no explanation. Management needs to realize people are not their clowns. Treat people the way you want to be treated.
