    Pros

best pro deal in the business, and access to almost all AMER products really good experience for retail, really high quality gear lots of training fun team, often do activities or volunteer good way to get in the door for working for Arc'teryx headquarters

    Cons

it took them way too long to bring us up to Seattle minimum wage worst benefits for Seattle outdoor retail companies no overtime you don't act as an Arc'teryx employee, you are an AMER employee

    Advice to Management

AMER should treat their sales associates better

I worked at Arc'teryx full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

Good people. Good pro deals. Easy/mindless work if that's what you're into

    Cons

Below average health benefits, no room for real growth if you have ambition, archaic systems/lack of tools to do your actual job efficiently, definitely a job where you feel chained to your desk and have to announce when you leave your desk even for a minute, boring/mindless work, a general sense of unhappiness amongst the employees there that have been there for more than 6 months. It seems like everyone walks in excited...

    Advice to Management

Move faster. Too slow at getting things done at times. Recognize that most of your reps are painfully unhappy there and for good reason.

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Arc'teryx full-time for more than 6 years

    Pros

When I first started, it was a good place to learn and grow. Great pro deals, pets at work, beer on Fridays, and creative, passionate people.

    Cons

No longer the company it used to be. It's become significantly more corporate since Tyler Jordan left. Too much of an emphasis on growth and less on innovation and quality. The current CEO has interesting ideas, but he changes his mind frequently which makes execution difficult. Many long time employees have left (and have been told to leave).

    Advice to Management

Don't forget how the company got started, and stop with the corporate jargon. Arc'teryx used to make fun of people who speak that way.
