I have been working at Arcadia.io

    Pros

-Ample opportunities to build career and improve internal functions at the company -Leadership is available and approachable for all levels of staff -Fantastic colleagues--hard-working, friendly, open -Dog-friendly office

    Cons

Fast-paced growth can make it a challenge to scale fast enough and support processes and procedures to create sustainability at every level (we see this as a "high-class" problem, though it is a challenge)

    I worked at Arcadia.io

    Pros

Very smart people. Great industry, huge potential.

    Cons

No compassion, no respect for commitment to the company. You give, they take. End of story.

    Advice to Management

Value your current employees, grow with new hires but remember who got you there.

I have been working at Arcadia.io full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Awesome data warehouse and stable processes in place for extracting from hundreds of EHRs. People are great - really engaged and enthusiastic, a lot of talent and passion.

    Cons

Some of the day-to-day tasks can be tedious and mind-numbing. Career advancement is not clear cut or well-defined.

I worked at Arcadia.io for more than 3 years

    Pros

Arcadia will give you plenty of opportunities to grow and learn new things within the health care space. You will be challenged.

    Cons

It can be tough to move through the ranks, and the time it takes does not always have a relationship to the quality of your work.

    Advice to Management

More transparency and more information about the direction the company is going. Everyone must be on the same page if the company is going to keep growing.

I have been working at Arcadia.io

    Pros

+ Very bright, motivated co-workers + Ability to advance to management roles quickly by going "above & beyond" entry level roles + Interesting technology work

    Cons

    - Entry levels start at a potentially competitive salary, but salary increases are capped and insufficient - Mentoring program, once strong, seems to have fallen by the wayside, and it's up to employees to seek out mentors. - Business/strategy consulting projects are few and far between; the focus is on technology implementations

    Advice to Management

Focus on creating a culture of openness, transparency, and interaction. Don't take the decision making process into a back room and inform the company after the fact; seek out opinions and promote discussions throughout the process.

    I worked at Arcadia.io

    Pros

Arcadia Solutions offers people a lot of work experience in a short amount of time. As with most consulting firms, you will spend the majority of your time away from the home office, which allows integration into different work environments. The unique thing about Arcadia, since it is a small company, is that individual employees are encouraged to participate in the day to day operations. This is everything from... the sales/marketing to the recruiting. It is a very close-knit group of employees. The Arcadia culture reminded me of college more then a workplace.

    Cons

With consulting, you work crazy hours, and work/life balance is non-existent. Kind of a good and bad, the base salary is lower then many companies, but there are quarterly bonuses. The criteria for how much a bonus amounts to is not transparent, with a large weighting on "Management Discretion". If you want to move up in the company, you need to do internal projects. These can range from creating a web site to... sales/marketing. These are usually done on the off hours, and are non-billable (though, it does help with the "Management Discretion" mentioned above).

    Advice to Management

Clearly communicate what is happening with the company - no sugar coating or half answers. Praise your employees for a job well done. This doesn't have to be monetary. A mention at the company meetings will sometimes boost morale more then a larger bonus.

    Pros

Bright, open atmosphere with access to top management and a community of supportive consultants. Great place to work!

    Cons

Small company means creating your own career path. If you like that, its a plus, but for many young people its a minus.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work

I have been working at Arcadia.io full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Work on real problems and achieve outcomes that result in real world benefits for multiples parties. The organization is growing in terms of the scale of work and the number of employees. There is plenty of opportunity for travel. You will work with some great people and you'll understand a lot about driving change within organizations. The organisation works in a large market space that is highly fragmented and has... massive room for growth.

    Cons

You will have to battle internal politics, weather constant uncertainty about your career, perform frequently mind numbingly dull work, in the face of unclear paths to promotion or even just a raise -even when the company is supposedly growing. The travel is frequently to remote locations. You'll work with some people who aren't so great. There is an air of frustration and sometimes quiet desperation in the rank and... file.

    Advice to Management

Figure out how to clearly communicate internally and deliver on promises. If you really believe your staff is your most valuable resource it would be nice to see you act on that belief.
