Don’t care about employees only care about saving and making money
Apr 6, 2023 - LMT/EstheticianRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Laid back atmosphere Able to take days off when needed. My director will work with you and give you as much time off as you need. Because I’m not full time I don’t mind taking as many days as I want off because I’m being over worked with no compensation
Cons
I work part time because they don’t want to hire full time and pay benefits. The spa i work at has over 30 LMTs and estheticians and MAYBE 6 are full time. But at least 25 work full time hours. NO PTO NO BENEFITS NO COMPENSATION. We are a top property in the company and still nothing. Don’t even have the right amount of supplies to work with.

All work, No Play

Some educational opportunities are offered as well as benefits/unlimited PTO
Cons
Majority of company are CIS white males/women The company expects you to take abuse from members, clients and staff in order to keep the contract. The contract will always be more important than you. Depending on your club, PTO is pointless because you can barely take it. I have been overseen by a number of people who have used it as an opportunity to take credit for the blood , sweat and tears I’ve put in this club. The bonus plan is horrible and for someone that wears so many hats, I’m paid barely above poverty line. I have on 3 occasions been yelled at by aggressive men on my team and each time I was made to be at fault, despite the long record of their mistreatment of others. I have been left to work with people who are aggressive and not team players because the company would rather make money than make sure their staff is safe. Everyone treats you like the aggressive black girl, especially when you’re good at your job and don’t require much help.

Industry’s best training Room to grow if employed at a larger location Good pay for most employees
Cons
Corporate acts caring and compassionate as long as you have no issues at your property or need help All about the top tier level employees bottom dollar Does not care about their lower level staff No communication and forces the spa directors/managers to wait days-weeks for an answer if ever even receiving one Do not follow the protocol they’ve created and preach

Great company to work for
Jan 5, 2023 - General Manager in Potomac, MDRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Great support from the corporate office and regional manager team. Decent pay. Fair bonus structures. Many opportunities to advance within the company.
Cons
The company is growing quickly which comes with growing pains. As with any large company, there is sometimes a disconnect from the corporate office to the feild.

Pros
Each club is different, but the club that I work for is pretty laid back. The clients are amazing. The . atmosphere is all around pretty good
Cons
Pay could be better, and helping trainers with certifications and fees.

Pros
Pay is decent 20% commission, 20% gratuity $9 per hr on the clock. Flexible shifts available. Complimentary lunch for all hotel employees Beautiful spa and facility since renovation. Nice employees besides management.
Cons
The spa manager currently at ila Only Spa is unprofessional, doesn’t know how to communicate and or run a smooth running spa. Many employees have complained about him and have even left the spa due to stressful working conditions. There has been no change in reprimanding him. That spa really needs to get new competent management so that it can be the spa it was always set out to be. This spa is under Arch Amenities Group, however there are investors in charge of the spa so I feel AAG doesn’t really know what’s going on.
