I have been working at Arch Capital full-time

    Pros

The people here are so welcoming and willing to support one another in any way. the Greensboro location is in the middle of downtown which makes it very easy for our department to get involved in the community.

    Cons

Arch East and Arch West are still operating on different systems which makes onboarding a little difficult. They are working to merge the processes, so hopefully all issues will be cleared up shortly.

    Pros

Decent pay, but that is because our office is in the Bay Area.

    Cons

Mortgage Insurance division being moved to North Carolina so the Bay Area Employees lose our jobs

    Advice to Management

I have nothing good or bad to say about our management

I worked at Arch Capital full-time

    Pros

    Career Growth
    Training Opportunities
    Benefits
    Maternity Leaves
    Healthcare Coverage

    Cons

    Treatment of employees
    Knee jerk layoffs
    No compassion for employees
    Overall disorganized

    Advice to Management

Previously worked for United Guaranty - Great company to work for until merger with Arch Capital. Advice to new management - treat associates like real humans, especially when they're being let go on day #1 of new company and were blindsided. Get to know employees before making knee jerk cuts - employees are more than just a salary - several people let go would have made great contributions if they got a chance to learn about associates strengths. Also, vendors for job placement and COBRA are not of quality.
