I worked at ArchCare full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

staff is great people to work with, comradeship, caring for participants . PACE was great the first three years but last year it changed with new leaders who care about the money and not the patients, They do not listen to staff and look down on people who don't agree with them. Bullies.

    Cons

new leadership turned a great program into a struggle; no fun to work here; no one cares anymore

    I worked at ArchCare part-time

    Pros

The patients you get to assist and make their day that much better! there are also some very friendly staff, though there are also some exceptions. Every job will have exceptions to the standard and you must be prepared for that.

    Cons

Lack of proper training, integrity, coordination, professionalism and accountability. There are individuals at the facility who do not work within the culture & values of the organization. When an employee points out issues it’s TO BETTER THE ORGANIZATION and the people served by the organization and corporate needs to be mindful of that. The organization and patient benefits from transparency, proper training and staffing. If you have more education than the others in your position and point out something needs to be looked at, the supervisors will retaliate against you, as to THEM it shows they were not up to par in their position, when your intent was to foster a better relationship between patients and staff. In my opinion, they don’t understand people who are looking for the best interest of the patient & the employer. The facility merely wants to look good by just getting the job done even if Management hasn’t taken the proper steps to ensure your success... AND they don’t see that Your success is also the PATIENTS SUCCESS! .......... atleast that’s what I experienced at my facility. The person giving the training was resigning after being treated unfairly and some employees weren’t given the orientation training they were entitled to. HR doesn’t comprehend that if an individual hasn’t been given all the days of orientation training then consequently they aren’t prepared for the floor.

I have been working at ArchCare full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Helping the clients get what they need

    Cons

Highly disorganized, chaotic, mayhem and a horrible place to work. This place is the absolute worst ever. The director is a joke who doesn’t appreciate her staff. She barely speaks to or engages staff but expects everyone to hop when she comes in the room. There is no room for proper training of any staff much less the nurses. Nurses are not valued or even appreciated. The set up is horrible and everyone is quick to play pass the buck. Their is an obvious power struggle going on within the organization at archcare!! Do yourself a favor and not send your resume here! You will regret it working with them and for them!! This is the worst employer hands down that I have ever worked for. What makes it so sad is that people, clients are the one that suffer from the ongoing disfunction. That is the part that seems to escape people there.
