I have been working at ArchCare full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I love my patients and coworkers.

    Cons

Management does not support you. Expect a lot from outside your scope or practice, and don't help out themselves. Turnover is unexpected and downsizing too quickly. Although given great responsibility, when someone is expected and carried out appropriately- management does not acknowledge your hard work nor supports you. In fact they be-little you and make you feel like you should have done more, and never offer to help in the process. HR pretends to their workers. Terrible place of work for the care one wants to provide as a physician. I do not recommend working here.

    Advice to Management

Be kind, acknowledge when someone is working hard- whether it's an RN, environmental, clerk, physical therapist or physician. Get involved in helping your colleagues instead of telling what to do and demanding it could have been done better. Hie more people, and create place where teamwork is felt.

I have been working at ArchCare full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Our participants are sweet and friendly. Helping them is the only good thing about this place.

    Cons

This company is EXTREMELY unorganized and understaffed. Employees are doing multiple jobs that they are not paid to do. Many things are swept under the rug and patched up until it all comes out and everyone is left scrambling before an audit. Directors and managers don't have to do the scrambling, only their employees do. Upper management does not care about anything but getting paid. They do not care about their employees being overworked and the participants needs not being met. unfortunately, it feels as though minorities are not appreciated here (unless you run around after upper management and do WAY more than you're supposed to). They take advantage of people here. there is absolutely no training or communication in this place. Upper management is not worried about people quitting every month and getting so stressed that they are getting sick, as long as they are paid. HR does not listen to employees, they don't even answer! there is really no help from anyone, even though we are working like animals and they are getting the credit.

    Advice to Management

Please hire more people (not family and friends), pay people what they deserve and recognize people's hard work!

I have been working at ArchCare full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The wages are fair, but with few people, its alot of responsibility. Depending on your supervisor, you can have a good or bad experience, i was lucky to have one who supports the staff and makes the office good. Human Resources department makes every attempt to have a fun company, multiple events and out of office activities that are great for networking and having fun. In the Heart of midtown at union Square, transportation are plentyful.

    Cons

    Lack of communication between departments
    Office Politicis

    Advice to Management

Work on a Communication System, hard to succeed when each department speaks a different language
