I worked at Archdiocese of Miami full-time

    Pros

The school I worked at had an extremely inviting, inclusive and warm environment.

    Cons

Salary was quite low for teachers with Advanced degree.

    Advice to Management

Teachers should be given initiatives in terms of salary for getting an advanced degree and certification.

    Pros

The teaching staff that worked with was excellent.

    Cons

Administrator never gave any positive feedback nor sat with you to discuss your performance. Staff frequently put down at monthly staff meetings, administrator rarely had anything good to say.

    Advice to Management

Support your teachers as well as make parents feel more welcome.

    Positive Outlook

I worked at Archdiocese of Miami full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great staff and faculty. They love what they do so working with them was a pleasure. The staff and faculty was very close and spent free social time together.

    Cons

The administration needs to get tougher. Too many kids geting away with things because they are afraid of having to deal with the parents.

    Neutral Outlook

    Pros

Knowing students well in a classroom (I was involved in a small school, however, there are others that are larger.)

    Cons

Little pay, compared to other places. Its all a matter of money vs quality of the job.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work.

    Negative Outlook

I have been working at Archdiocese of Miami full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Smaller school, more docile students, easier to move up and/or do new things because each school is more indiviually empowered

    Cons

Small schools become like small towns - insular, closed-minded and clickish. Adults hurt each other for sport. Favoritism runs rampant for promotions

    Advice to Management

Stop promoting people who 1) got fired from another school (like our principal) or 2) have never taught a day in their lives (like our AP)
