    Pros

I genuinely enjoyed my time at Architel. I worked on the helpdesk team and loved most everyone I worked with. I definitely miss the people.
    -Fully paid benefits
    -Catered lunch on Fridays
-Usually only 40 hour work weeks on non on-call weeks (if tier 1 helpdesk)
    -COO Craig
-Offshore team that works 24 hours
    -Decently organized client wiki
    -Dedicated employees

    Cons

    -No 401k!!!!
    -Brutal On-Call every 5-6 weeks
-Numbers driven helpdesk with a system that promotes cherry picking of tickets
    -Very high employee turnover
    -Very high client turnover
-Implementation department refuses to work with helpdesk as a team
-Sales team constantly over-promises and sets technical teams up for failure

    Advice to Management

Do a better job of team building. The teams don't work together because you let it happen. I do think Architel could be much more successful if they would either not bring on high maintenance clients or send a Tier 3 tech in to fix the majority of a new client's issues before starting support. Stop focusing on bringing on new clients and start focusing on retention of current clients. FIRE BAD CLIENTS.

    Pros

    Decent options for health insurance.
    Great learning environment,
    Friendly Co-workers

    Cons

    Management needs to be re-vamped.
    Work Load is unbalanced,
    Bad pay to skill ratio.
Will drop you whenever they see fit.

    Advice to Management

Treasure your skilled employees. You'll lose your good technician base with the way things are going.

I have been working at Architel full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

There is an extremely talented and intelligent group of people that work at Architel. Very friendly and professional group. They offer really awesome benefits like: personal trainer, free drinks (unlimited water/soft drinks), paid catered lunch for employees on Friday, free massages to employees, they celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, and really honestly foster a family environment. The CEO, COO, and Management really care about employees. Everyone has their clients and co-workers best interest at heart. They provide ongoing training for employees. They an open door policy and I sincerely am thankful to work at such an amazing place with such wonderful people. If you sit down with them and concretely discuss your career path and what you would like to do do they will provide you with the tools and resources to help you get there either at our company or for future companies.

    Cons

I sincerely can't think of one. Anytime something has bothered me I feel comfortable enough to address my manager or CEO or COO. Once they realize something is bothering an employee they will do whatever it takes to make the situation right or provide a better support system.

    Advice to Management

Continue doing what you are doing. You have provided such a professional, hardworking, and family environment. If you keep growing and operating under this principal skys the limit to how successful we will continue being!

    I worked at Architel full-time

    Pros

The people, The Management was good, The location is fantastic. Architel boasts some of the smartest NOC Engineers I have ever had the privilege of working with.

    Cons

Tough industry requiring long hours and extreme patience with non technical clients. SMOKE FREE Environment. NO exceptions!

    Advice to Management

Invest more in your employees. Your location is great, your management is great, your technologies are great but your best people are quite underpaid. (That said.. there is a lot more to an opportunity than just $)

    Pros

Architel offers engineers a broad set of technologies to work with. Architel makes it easy to keep up with new technologies. The company offers 18 days of paid time off to new hires. The company provides free health insurance to employees. The company is located in the INFOMART and offers an onsite gym at no cost, a Starbucks, a bar and a cafeteria. Architel's software division, Big in Japan, also builds cool stuff and provides a potential area for professional growth for interested employees.

    Cons

The company is small (under 50 employees) and thus the opportunities for advancement are limited. The company does not pay for family health insurance.

    Advice to Management

Grow the business! Explain promotions and terminations.
