I worked at Arcturis full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great group of enthusiastic people, very fun to work with and the culture is very laid back.

    Cons

Look into their portfolio, some design work is not very intriguing.

    I worked at Arcturis full-time

    Pros

The company provided lots of learning opportunities for continued growth in all aspects of career and life.

    Cons

Let me say first the pros far outweighed the cons, but there are some very high profile people that work(ed) for the firm and the company culture at times would clash with some of those elitist -like personalities. Some of these people would make days very difficult for the more submissive team members.

    Advice to Management

There has been a lot of change over the last 5 years but all in all they are all great mentors.

    Flexible schedule

    Cons

Management needs to work on communication. Firm needs to invest in professional development. Work life balance can be a struggle.
    Salary is low.

    Advice to Management

Better communication. Envision the culture you want and lead the firm to it.

    Pros

Great opportunities for professional growth and development if you have an entrepreneurial spirit. Leadership is very transparent about the firm's finances, standing in the industry, and their vision for the future of the firm.

    Cons

It can be difficult to advance if you're not seen as a "Designer" with a keen sense for design, rather you're more of a competent designer that focuses on completing the task at hand and its accuracy.

    Advice to Management

Management could work harder to listen to and address employee concerns regarding professional development and offering advice to employees aspiring to reach goals for their professional development.

If I had to choose a con, I would say there has been a lot of change over the past several years due to the economy and succession planning

    Advice to Management

    Pros

The great people who work at Arcturis is the best reason to work there.

    Cons

Leadership does not recognize employees abilities and strengths and giving them opportunities to develop and grow. There is some favoritism played that can determine what projects you work on. A couple leaders manage by intimidation. Leaderships inability to recognize who is responsible for what aspects of projects.

    Advice to Management

Democratic system determining who works on what projects. Giving employees opportunities to develop and grow. Determining individual strengths and talents and creating a plan in which the employee can exercise them. Addressing any issues immediately with employees. Recognizing and addressing favoritism and intimidation in upper management. Creating responsibility record on projects.
