    Pros

Company gives you freedom to resolve issues and make changes as needed. Company policies, procedures and ethics fall in line with mosts core values.

    Cons

As with any management career, you spend a lot of time at work. At least one weekend a month as well.

I worked at Ardagh Group full-time for more than a year

    Pros

location, building cafeteria, nice people that work in manufacturing and operations.

    Cons

Elitist attitude throughout the entire organization. Walk into a world of backstabbing, scheming and bullying from Claude, CEO, and the rest of the over paid and arrogant executive management team. Forget about your family, friends and health, Ardagh expects it all for repayment of their salary. They do provide an example of the worst corporate culture at no additional cost. If you have integrity and enjoy getting up in the morning, work somewhere else.

    Advice to Management

Fire everyone above Director level and start over. Remember, if all the low level employees leave, one of you will actually have to work. Try treating everyone with respect.

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Ardagh Group full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Decent pay and benefits. Good team in Fishers.

    Cons

This is a European company with workers in North America. The balance of decision making is done primarily in the EU, secondarily in Chicago, and lastly in Fishers. There is no balance between work and home. Management style is rather confrontational - the one thing that is constant from management is that they are smarter than you. It's good to be challenged but this goes way to far. It gets old. Teamwork overall is rather suspect. Favoritism exists in a lot of places. Very little loyalty to existing employees. You do not go here for a career.

    Advice to Management

Eventually, you have to treat North American employees as equals. Good pay will only cover for bad or mismanagement for so long. The talk about values is just that.

I worked at Ardagh Group full-time for more than a year

    Pros

It was a job for a couple years and very glad to leave.

    Cons

Lack of data usage for problem solving, too much tribal knowledge solving, poor understanding by all of batch and Furnace science. Management likes the long time bottlers that are buddies not the outsiders that come in to improve. They ignore external knowledge and ideas.

    Advice to Management

Open your eyes and learn to recognize that new eyes and new ideas are what makes you better not doing it the same way all the time.
