    Pros

Comoany doesnt hire enough to fill all positions so mandatory overtime for all shifts. Most workers will work 5 to 6 days on every 8.

I worked at Ardagh Group full-time for more than a year

    Pros

The lean employment practices create tight-knit shift work. Co-workers depend on each other and must work together. Insurance benefits are hard to beat.

    Cons

-No accountability -No communication between senior management and supervisors. -Plant shut down production lines several times because raw materials were either not scheduled for delivery or the wrong quantity was ordered. -Procedures, work instructions and testing methods are either not available or not relevant to the specific plant -Promotions and new hire processes take several months and in some cases years to fill -Many employees felt intimidated by the single HR representative, whose "open door policy" only existed for specific team memebers -There is no standardized training , new employees learn trial-by-fire -Compromises to quality are continuously made to meet production needs

    Advice to Management

What a colossal missed opportunity for a new, modern can making facility. There are critical quality aspects missing from the culture and practices at this plant. These missing foundations have cost the company customers and will continue to cost you in the future. There is no excuse for the lack of communication and poor planning of this plant when running so lean. Employees rely on rumors instead of having direct and open lines of communication with their management team. Take a look at your employees and realize that the few that pull together the shift are under-appreciated, being over-worked, and are all looking for the first opportunity that presents itself elsewhere.
