    Pros

Clientele, salary and benefits, flexible schedule. Great employee discount, very fun environment. Positive energy from corporate level superiors.

    Cons

Closed, and very limited to resources considering not many other Arden b store locations. Shrink often an issue, and payroll prevents compensation for shrink issues and fitting room control.

    Advice to Management

Make sure you hire fun, outgoing staff members that enjoy the brand. Wearing the brand benefits your sales tremendously. The rewards program is free and easy to promote - take full advantage of building your client pool and client relationships.

    Pros

Supportive, hard-working staff. My store manager pushed me to be better which in turn inspired me to push the sales associates to be better.

    Cons

Constant rumors that the stores would soon close

    Advice to Management

    Address the rumors

    Pros

Good atmosphere cute clothes easy job great discounts

    Cons

I didn't like the upper management. They were very unprofessional and I never got a schedule till the day before. We were always under staffed.

    Advice to Management

Please improve your hiring process. We were always under staffed and under paid as well. Not to mention the clothes were cute but cheaply made.

I have been working at Arden B part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Made life friends working there
    Laid back environment
Contests to get an extra discount off the clothes
Discount also works at Wet Seal
Most tasks are left for management
Eventually there was so much theft our store hired a security guard
Very good customer service experience because you are forced to add on to purchases and find out more about customers

    Cons

    Always worried about customers stealing
You don't always get credited for who you helped because someone else could be on the register
Employee discount is only 40%, a lot of time the clothes are 40% for customers...
Get yelled at by rude customers who are stealing
District manager would accuse store manager and associates of stealing constantly
Most of the paper work and weekly schedules were handwritten, never knew if they would change

    Advice to Management

All stores should hire a security guard
Don't hire managers you don't trust

    Pros

If your young and you have a passion for fashion this is a great way to earn money while doing what you love.

    Cons

Unfortunately during the recession the quality of the clothes has gone down hill.Initially Arden B could compete with Bebe but now its borderline Forever 21 style and prices. They also no longer offer commission.

I worked at Arden B part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

When I first started working there it was a fun environment. Everyone was easy to work with and we got along. We got all of our work done but could still have fun when business was slow. The manager was always easy to get along with.

    Cons

After some time, management changed and so did the style. A new manager came in and completely changed how we did things. She gave no warning or explanation of what she was changing, she just expected that we would all know what to do. It became a difficult environment to work in.

    Advice to Management

Stick to one management model and relay everything to the employees.

    Pros

The experience of just retail and a business

    Cons

    EVERYTHING
    no clear communication
higher ups have no idea what they are doing
    Gossip
Sales Associate do what they want
no positive feedback on doing well
want you to lower shrink but give you faulty sensors
    Very disorganized

    Advice to Management

Invest the time and effort into your company and make your message clear. A messy CEO = messy company

I worked at Arden B part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

You get to see how merchandise comes in and are surrounding by nice clothes.

    Cons

Management was not supportive. I was a hard worker and always did what was necessary. Yet upper management seemed to have an attitude and rolled their eyes at me repeatedly like we were in high school. Much unneeded drama that is not suitable for the workplace. If you want you life to be like a reality show, go for it. Plus, no one even knows what Arden B is, so it was hard to attract customers inside and make sales.

    Advice to Management

It is crucial that your sales associates are motivated and treated with respect. The childish behavior at the lower management level greatly affects the well-being of your business. Establish a company culture that reflects better values.
