I worked at Area Temps (More than a year)

Different company's that I worked for have gave me experience in a wide range of entry level position.

    Cons

    Traveling to far to work!

I have been working at Area Temps (More than a year)

    Pros

Continous training, experienced and tenured staff in each office, uncapped commission, chances to win vacations and cash bonuses through contests. Managers are very flexible and understanding with staff regarding family and personal matters. Could be a great opportunity for the right person.

    Cons

Poor starting salary. There are are a number of factors which can negatively affect your ability to obtain commission, which you have zero control over as a recruiter. Not many seasoned recruiters. Very stressful position, which requires you to always be available for immediate client needs. Little vacation time and expensive health benefits

    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

Somewhat professional.. You get little accessories that make you feel like your going to be work something high end.

    Cons

They are lazy, especially the Parma area temps. Its full of girls with acrylic nails that don't do anything. They will never find you a job unless your most likely good friends with them.. And they do not know how to talk to their employees. I would refer my friends and family to alliance solutions group.

I worked at Area Temps full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

they seem to have multiple positions available

    Cons

They don't seem to offer the positions to you. You have to call and ask about the positions after finding them on their website. They say they are submitting your resume just to find out there are no notes on your file indicating they did that. Overall, most of the employees are nasty and do not have any issues with putting you in your place. Asking questions only seems to irritate them. Very unprofessional. An example would be when asking if there were any new positions open and their response being "trust me you would be the first to know" along with a lecture about calling.

    Advice to Management

Robert Half needs to reevaluate the staff they have in their Cleveland and Mayfield offices and perhaps hire nicer people. People who actually care about help the less fortunate and unemployed.

I have been working at Area Temps full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Learning new things with every assignment. Getting fairly consistent opportunities.

    Cons

Very low pay. I worked for some real jerks for $8.50 per hour.
Feeling like you're really on your own with nowhere to turn if the job situation is poor.
Employers are not accountable for their ill-treatment of temporary employees.

    Advice to Management

Would like honesty when the position is offered. Better feedback structure would be helpful.

I worked at Area Temps full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Fun place to work. Ability to help other people find jobs.

    Cons

Managers steal other employees leads and then fire them for not getting enough sales.

    Advice to Management

Better structure in management and helping people who are promoted instead of forcing them to get fired for not being able to get sales when the managers claim the sales.

    Pros

It is very rewarding to match good honest applicants possessing strong work ethics to promising job positions available through the clients of Area Temps.

    Cons

In reality, Very few applicants fit that description which leads to people walking off of the job during their shifts, constant call offs and lack of effort on the job. This leads to stress filled days dealing with unhappy account managers and clients wanting to know why their new temporary worker never returned from lunch.

    Advice to Management

Try to have a better grasp of the simple concept that people are who they are. If they are unhappy with a current job assignment or happen to have a poor work ethic no amount of counseling, persuading etc. is going to change that. Yelling at, punishing or reprimanding employees of Area Temps for sending temporary workers to job sites which in turn ends badly isn't going to do anything to fix the problem.

    Pros

The agency I'm with now will provide job opportunities for job seekers.

    Cons

Pay not good and the agency doesn't pay according to skill levels.

    Advice to Management

Pay more and do more extensive reasearch on companies

    Pros

30% markup on bill rates=higher commissions; sorry temps, you can't join us on Achievement Club even though you got us there

    Cons

All your dirtbag coworkers that would stab you in the back for a placement. The constant lies you tell applicants about published, immediate "jobs"

    Pros

Can't say that there are any cons

    Cons

The people who work in this agency are nasty and uncaring. The manager in the Cleveland office is the absolute worse and has no problem telling you off. She expects you to read minds and when you make suggestions, she takes offense and then will no longer help you find a job. They should realize their finding jobs for people is their job. Without us, they wouldn't have a job. They need to do some restructuring and get rid of the nasty lady in Cleveland and the unprofessionals in Mayfield.

    Advice to Management

Wake up and take note in your employees' behaviors. No one should be treated so poorly.
