I worked at Argen full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Learned new skills, you can learn how not to be in business here.

    Cons

Department was a mess coming in. Tried to correct problems many times over. Received pushback, multiple managers left due to pushback lack of support from owners. Safety issues not considered important. Owners only concerned with bottom line. Dental lab with poor dental coverage need I say more? Title means everything and nothing-Unless the owners pick you, you have no creditability.

    Advice to Management

Find faults in your business, fix your internal problems, take criticism from those whom see the problems and actually get it. Stop employing friends over qualified personal. Remember it's safety over profits, not the other way around. Owner 1 don't send mass email about you giving your wife a raise. Owner 2 email chains of bickering over whom a person reports to is not professional.

I have been working at Argen full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - it's a paycheck. - benefits are ok. - the employees and select few management are friendly enough to make working here bearable for the meantime

    Cons

    - They play favorites here and they only seem to kiss-up to whoever is above them. Select few employees (rarely) may sometimes progress faster than other, more deserving, hard workers. It seems that the number of operations/responsibilities you have do NOT necessarily contribute to your growth in this company. It doesn't matter if employee A has more experience or does more work than employee B. If they favor employee...

I worked at Argen full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Benefits are good, you can live off of the pay.

    Cons

Company pretends it's transparent, higher ups always say to ask if you need anything, but if you request help/ask for resources, it's very unlikely they will be given to you. I requested help with my role for the longest time, and was never given any help. Either I was too stressed out so they HAD to cover me because I was out of office or it got to the point where a dental technician we were working with was furious...

    Advice to Management

Coordinate the US and Canadian offices better, hire more people to cover the support jobs. It is so stressful to support all the equipment that they sell. I would even say it's impossible.

I worked at Argen full-time for more than a year

      Pros

Rapidly growing company offering many opportunities to move up or sideways.

      Cons

Long term vision was there and company was growing rapidly but not rapid enough given how bad it was in the beginning. Also, the company spent a lot of money in an aggressive, non-transparent way, which put a lot of pressure on management.

      Advice to Management

Be a little more transparent about spending strategy and expectations.

I have been working at Argen full-time for more than 3 years

      Pros

      It’s a job and a paycheck.

      Cons

No management training at all. All supervisors do is kiss up to the managers who kiss up to the directors who kiss up to the owners. If half the upper management disappeared no one would notice. They do nothing and take credit for everything. Workers downstairs in production are treated poorly and like slaves by management. You can always be replaced is the motto. If you need a paycheck for the time being then go for...

      Advice to Management

Stop ignoring what you are hearing from these reviews. Owners please don’t be so removed from the workers that your managers get away with incompetence. I know it can be much much better here.
