    Pros

the bonus number is not bad. a lot of hard working people. sometimes good projects can give you good opportunity to learn things

    Cons

the leadership isn't that great. time management from the leaders always mess up things. the company culture tend to be over promising for the sake of money but under delivery because the plan wasnt designed in a realistic manner. so employees can be really burned out.

    Advice to Management

hire some good leaders and overhaul the company culture

    Pros

It's a good company overall, great learning experience if you're motivated, the people there are really nice and are free snacks in the office! You can get to meet a lot of people and make friends while networking. The office is close to New York City

    Cons

There isn't a work culture there, high turnover ratio and talented people leave right after a year or two, Work/life balance could be improved and the compensation wasn't great. Sometimes the work itself isn't very motivating nor interesting.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employers nicely and compensate them accordingly. Develop the internship program and use it as a way of recruiting.

    Cons

Too many managers, not enough leaders. Userless HR.

    Advice to Management

Hire folks with experience. Not straight out of college.

    Pros

Competitive pay. I was offered a job after interning at Argus for the summer, but I ended up declining the offer.

    Cons

The work environment wasn't great. Most people didn't seem super interested in the work they were doing.

    Pros

Good opportunity to learn a lot of new tools, coworkers are all relatively young, Argus is a great place for new grads to pick up a few skills and learn more about credit card data

    Cons

Sometimes the workload can be heavy. There might be a lot of stress due to tight deadlines and too much work.

    Advice to Management

Make sure no team is understaffed, people can be moved around within Argus, because I think there are teams that are overstaffed and there are teams that are understaffed

I have been working at Argus Information & Advisory Services full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Rapid exposure to the payments industry
Opportunities to gain responsibilities early on
Good environment to develop analytical and consulting skillsets
Hard working colleagues trying to share the load
Reliable business performance and job security

    Cons

Long hours and tight deadlines needed to keep the clients happy/engaged.
Can easily end up working for managers who are "yes-happy" to client requests and timelines.
HR team is not a strong performer within the company.
Company is owned by a larger firm which has put pressure on increasing profit margins at the expense of employees.
Difficult to get opportunities to work with other teams or gain exposure outside of business unit.

    Advice to Management

If you are going to advertise a "work hard play hard" mindset, one needs to make sure the "play" portion is balanced with the work. A single "happy hour" at the end of a quarter (which people may have to miss due to work) looses its appeal when people get beyond the stage in their lives of binging at a bar.

You are too happy to benchmark yourself against companies which fail in the same areas as yourself. Imagine the company's "work/life balance" and "compensation & benefits" performance against firms outside of NYC's financial district.
