I worked at Aricent full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    - Flexible timings
    - Big sized company
    - A good number of great engineers still exist there

    Cons

    - Pathetic salaries/incentives and increments
    - Following "FrAgile" instead of "Agile" software development - Too much of "Jugaad" in everyday work life.
    - Sketchy vision from the CEO and top management - everything is from the perspective of making money, nobody wants to really spend in future and in building a great place to work
    - Too many old timers in senior positions dragging the organization down with their weight and politics

    Advice to Management

Stop counting all the pennies and nickels and focus on your existing employees. Cut down on the Senior Manager/Director/AVP/VP layer - it's too much dead weight and most of them aren't adding any value. Try promoting a startup type culture with rewards for deserving people. Do away with the archaic appraisals and push for organizational level Agility. It can still be done, not too late to improve.
