    Pros

Very good software vision, good customer testimonials and modest customer base (a few marquee names).

    Cons

Poor management. Leadership lacks discipline and changes direction every two weeks. Unstable work environment for Sales, Management, Technology and Accounting.

    Advice to Management

Hire the right talent, agree on a direction, provide a reasonable budget and then let the Management Team you've selected do their jobs without constant interference and knit picking from ownership and investors.

I have been working at Aricent full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Before the US corp office was closed, US employees enjoyed a great 401K match and good salaries.

    Cons

Company moved corporate functions to the Indian based business units.
US leaders were / are not valued and are resented by legacy Aricent peers.

    Advice to Management

Slip it up and sell it off.

None any more since carrier services div gutted out. Just a body shop now.

    Cons

Little value here; just a body shop for those who don't need any career path.

    Advice to Management

Divest it off and put it out of its misery.

I worked at Aricent full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Aricent is a global company. It has a pretty decent product engineering division that has been supporting the company P&L for years.

    Cons

The carrier support services devision is now abandoned (this is the one I used to work for). Supposedly, a new management team was going to get the division back in track, but what they did is just close the business.

    Advice to Management

Go away. Definitely your IBM experience did not applied here.

    Pros

    Decent benefits
    Good Holiday schedule
    Vacation time is comparable
    Decent bonus structure
Differentiation through its design firm (frog design)

    Cons

Upper management is severely incompetent. There is constant in-fighting among the executive team. Most are too concerned with making money by bringing the company public, despite the fact that it is not ready.

Finger-pointing is the name of the game here. The concept of ACCOUNTABILITY is absent among 80% of the company. Highly political - incompetent employees get promoted if aligned with the 'right' manager.

Internal communication is dismal. Morale is very low. Work/life balance is non-existent. Cheap doesn't even begin to describe it.

Processes are old and a nightmare to change. Real talent, when hired, tends to burn out quickly.

Even KKR makes mistakes, and Aricent is one of them.

    Advice to Management

Make ACCOUNTABILITY & INTEGRITY your priority.
