I have been working at Arista Networks full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    * You will meet and work with some of the best talent in the networking industry * You will give and take a lot of respect in an apolitical setup * Founders and management really care about making products and not interested in just achieving it by any means. Sound judgement is like an epidemic. Everyone is on the ground and they make sense usually. * This is no sweat shop. On the other hand, people genuinely...

I have been working at Arista Networks full-time for more than a year

    Pros

By far, the most advanced / amazing software architecture and internal tools I've ever seen. Great culture, little management overhead, and a ton of really, really smart people. Lots of flexibility in changing projects, lots of opportunities for learning (from SDN to Linux kernel, to switching ASICs, to Networking protocols, to internal tools, you name it...). A total "engineering culture" (mottos "do the right thing"...

    Cons

Initial learning curves longer than usual (but you eventually get there..)

I have been working at Arista Networks full-time for more than a year

    Pros

This place is so much fun that time just passes by and all you remember at the end of the day, week, month and year ... is the awesomeness you witnessed and you delivered. Well-paced ! No boring meetings. Emphasis is on quality of work and not the superficial gloss. Best of the industry engineers around to keep one highly motivated and inspired. You need not work to please some particular person. Performance...

      I worked at Arista Networks

      Pros

There is a great focus on internal tooling to improve our workflow. Engineers are given a lot of trust and autonomy, even interns. Code reviews are taken seriously. So you will be able to get a lot of feedback from smart coworkers. Free snacks. Good pay. Coworkers are very friendly. Anyone will gladly make time to answer your questions, even if they are not on your team. A huge focus on doing things right instead...

      Cons

Office is a bit far to commute to, but they are changing offices very soon. Can be a bit overwhelming at first with a lot to learn.

I have been working at Arista Networks full-time for less than a year

      Pros

Only pro is work pressure is less

      Cons

      - the worst part is that when interns & freshers join, they force them to rating the company as 5 stars on glassdoor. This is pathetic. So do not go by the ratings. - worst HRs - no job levels, so lesser growth opportunities - no perks besides the base salary, which is also very less compared to market. - no annual hikes yet. Freshers are earning more than you, which is demotivating.

      Advice to Management

      - Please have good HRs - Give annual hikes, and on time. - Have consultation with employees on career-growth. - Gave some perks to employees.

I worked at Arista Networks full-time for less than a year

      Pros

very realistic experience. You are part of the code development from the get go. They do not try to isolate you with toy projects. You work with the main line of code from the beginning and contribute to their solutions. As realistic a work experience as I think it gets

      Cons

sometimes your mentors will not have enough time to give you instructions on what to do next or the specifics of what to do you have to figure out on your own.

      Advice to Management

      communicate with the interns more.

I worked at Arista Networks for less than a year

      Pros

Not many pros. The company is doing good and may go public in the near future and they have stock options. The work culture is ok. The work itself is challenging and requires a decent amount of knowledge on networks.

      Cons

The compensation is average and there are zero facilities in the office. The bangalore office is not at all worth it. If you really want to join this company join the HQ and not the bangalore office.

      Advice to Management

      Improve the work facilities
