Pros
The children and families in need are the primary pros, and only real social workers stay for this. Although it is difficult to find the right role within the department, once you do work is easier. Strong management team at Placement Center allows for higher retention than most offices.
Cons
Pay is consistent, but low with minimal increases after you've worked for several years. High stress job that is not for the faint hearted. You will experience things that you literally thought only happened in movies/ books.
